I actually really like Rangers and thought of adding that as my third with WAR/MNK, but isn't RNG more of a setup with a ranged build? Like WIZ? It seems like their archery is kind of wasted in a WAR/MNK setup.rogue for assasinate, and poisons
pally for slay undead
ranger for headshot
bl (and war and cleric pretty much) for proc build
mage for pet cuck build
sk (to some degree)
those are the classes that have the most broken out of era AA abilities and are generally the classes needed to be core in any trio...
with that said, im sure there are classes/builds not in this list that are great (such as monk for WoS, but that falls off and druid for WotW but also falls off)... but these are the ones that can easily farm AA's (at 60) and bosses (well some worse than others in that list)
yea it is more of a ranged build, and yea you'd have to think of it as building around the ranger, not the ranger as utility in your case... (fwiw though warrior's RoRZ (and beastlords BL) will proc up to 4 procs per combat round on a bow, so its not uncommon for those classes to be together).I actually really like Rangers and thought of adding that as my third with WAR/MNK, but isn't RNG more of a setup with a ranged build? No, you basically lose those AAs unless you ever change back and then you'll have those AAs again.btw what happens when you change the third class, do you get all AAs refunded?
is there any such combo if you know for sk,rog, clr? sk has a nice fd aa but am not sure if anything synergizes with rogs bunch of disappearing/hide AAsI've mentioned it before but if you go with a Monk don't sleep on Imitate Death and Hastened Death which reduces the cooldown to zero. Paired with Paladin you can cast IVU and then Imitate Death which won't drop IVU. Fantastic for hauling ass through zones with undead and non-undead.
Sorry I've only toyed around with this pal/mnk/mag trio. I can't really speak on anything else atm.is there any such combo if you know for sk,rog, clr? sk has a nice fd aa but am not sure if anything synergizes with rogs bunch of disappearing/hide AAs
Also kind of in a rut right now, where is the best place to farm AA once you are 60? I know the answer is actually lguk at lvl 30 but I'm already 60 so....
I'm about 400ish AAs in but only 3/18 ca and cs which is another 150AA slog plus a handful of other defensive AAs. I need them, I know I need them, but its so demoralizing farming AAs for purely defensive gains. But I'm still not able to solo innoruuk without them and a handful of other leech touch/life tap AAs. I mean i can get him to 5% but it's pure luck, my health goes from 100% to 5% every other swing and it pure rng that I proc a lifetime and heal or die
I'm in. Is there an FoH guild?also wtf are all you guys, playing POE2??
For lifetap you want:
#1 touch of the cursed. Gives you a chance for an innate lifetap on every melee swing. (200 health at max rank)
Soul abrasion. Increases dmg on lifetap procs
Theft of life. Chance for huge heal from lifetaps. Like I've crit full heals 4.5k
Those are your main lifetap AAs but you also want spell casting fury/fury of magic to increase spell crits and dmg.
also Leech touch+consumption of the soul, gives you a second harm touch that is a lifetap/oh shit heal.
Touch of the wicked reduces your cooldown on harm touch and Leech touch.
Also idk if ingenuity benefits lifetaps from buffs, but you'll prolly have a lifetap proc weapon, like sk epic, so that helps that at least
To my understanding, any AA that causes an additional weapon attack that isn’t specifically tied to mainland or offhand … will also apply to ranged attacks. And since procs can happen on all ranged attacks per round and not just one weapon swing per round you get some great synergies for all those extra attacks that happen. Plus strike through is useful as you can apparently dodge ranged attacks. Add those to also having extra damage disciplines means longer uptime for additional ranged damage done. I’m currently grinding AA on Rng/War/Clr and can pull decent sized packs tanking sword n board style while dropping things with my bow. The only real pluses for going Rogue is that hdex scales better for assassinate than it does for headshot and you will have early access to Rogue poisons for extra DPS.I actually really like Rangers and thought of adding that as my third with WAR/MNK, but isn't RNG more of a setup with a ranged build? I'd be down to join a FoH guild if there is one too, I'm still just AAing in guk at 30. Up to I think 400 atm, probably start leveling again in a day or two.I'm in. Is there an FoH guild?
Yeah, after more thought I think I'm just going to stick with the Paladin. To my understanding, any AA that causes an additional weapon attack that isn’t specifically tied to mainland or offhand … will also apply to ranged attacks. Yeah, I'll basically just duo with a pet cuck until I'm geared and then just bide my time until I reach glory in Luclin and beyond. As a fellow paladin rog shm that wishes he was SK rog sham, I feel your pain, but make peace that you can get easy AA and just duo / trio ToV
