I'm still enjoying PoP... could be just my nostalgia but I always enjoyed crawling through the planes and smacking the gods. Not sure if I even remember GoD but maybe I stepped back some that expansion but I honestly have no memory of any of the fights so I'm a little optimistic but that makes me think maybe there wasn't a lot of substance there.
I was looking at the EQ Emu expansion list (Expansion List - EverQuest Emulator Docs) and hoping they keep going though. I missed some expansion on release but went back much later and really enjoyed some of them.
Dragons of Norrath, Secrets of Faydwer, and House of Thule will each pretty much. When they get to stuff like the Gibbler, I'll be curious what those gear sets will look like... I feel OP enough as it is! We'll see.... I just hope GoD isn't a disappointment content wise.

Just downloaded this and waiting for it to patch. Giggity. Going to try a monk/bst/brd for reasons.

pretty sure the dev's prior server went up to OoW (because they had custom 2.0 changes)... their prior server had some of the things we see here at THJ... so i'd imagine they'll be going to at least OoW. however now that eqemu is up to DoN it will probably go that far up. then it may die or they may introduce custom zones.
While GoD was particularly boring as a raider it has some cool things a lot of people probably never experienced. Aka doing the keys or pre-reqs required to request raids - something that only 1 person in a raid needs. Additionally you have BiC, which is a slog, but at the same time it's something you'll enjoy doing if you've never done it. There are quite a bit of mini raids and those mechanics are cool (though maybe irrelevant with THJ powercreep).
OoW I could see as a good time in THJ; there are tons of 1.5/2.0 events I've never seen. Traversing MPG is a bitch tho. Anguish probably be fun on THJ.
DoN... never did it on eqemu - was fun back in EQ. Not sure how different it'll be for that purple dragon where it required a bunch of people doing WoW like raid mechanics.
