Just got back from the movie. Liked it a lot, sure it needed to dwell on the parenting angle for a bit and those scenes did move slow. Still they were okay.
Gotta say though: Dem titties on Elastigirl - Damn!!
Plus I agree that short was kinda trippy.

Just got back from seeing it. Was easy to figure out the villain literally 2 seconds after they introduced there was a villain, but it didn't detract from enjoying it. Would recommend. The mini actors intro at the start made me realize it had been 14 years since the first one came out, which seemed nuts because it didn't seem -that- long ago.
Short was funny...some woman in the back row exclaimed "jesus!!!" when she ate the dumpling kid, which got a laugh out of me.

The texture on Elastigirls tits in the black suit was probably the most over done CGI in the film. Didn't help that the camera seemed to zero in on them in every scene she was in.tits? To be honest, I didn't even notice. I was stuck on this too much.
She was getting "chubby secretary" ass and hips.

Nah, the old guy is the dad. It's actually a fairly decent representation of a Chinese family (my wife is American Chinese, the dad really reminds me of her uncle right down to the way he sits and watches TV at dinner). The mom also captures how over-dramatic fobby Asian women can be.

Saw this on Monday with my kid. I thought both movies together make one really good single movie. The first movie showed how awesome Mr. Incredible and Dash were. The second movie really showed off Elastigirl and Violet. Even though there was a 14 year gap, they did such a fine job connecting them, I think they would be doing a disservice if they made anymore.

I was laughing pretty hard.

Saw this yesterday finally. I agree that it meshes well with the first movie into a two-part story of supers coming back into the light.
I like how this world seems to be perpetually in the 60s. Edna makes reference to specific dates in her 'No Capes' monologue in the first episode and yet there has been at least 15 years since that point meaning that this should be in the mid 70s at least yet everything is clearly 1967-68 at best. Then again there are also references to 'hacking the network' which is a very 21st century concept. The style is cool, however, so I'm willing to ignore it.
Biggest nitpick from my point of view is wondering why Agent Dicker didn't tell the Parrs about his encounter with Kary the babysitter and the revelation that Jack-Jack has powers.
As to 'Bao' -- anyone who didn't understand exactly what was going on and the nature of the metaphor is possibly retarded.
