He used to be. He was a real big conspiracy theorist, back in the day. Now he's "normalized".

EDIT : Meh, guess I should'a put this in my original post. He was up until he started filming Joe Rogan Questions Everything (or something like that), on the SciFi channel. It was a show where he would go out to the woods to look for bigfoot, and go and talk to people that have been abducted by aliens, and just general shit like that. He says on his podcast, that show started him down the path to realization that about 9/10 conspiracy theories are absolutely ludicrous.

You talking about Joe Rogan? Or one of his guests? Joe dabbles in conspiracy theories, but i don’t think he denies the moon landing. I know when he had Neil Degrass Tyson on they talked about it. JFK being killed by the CIA/Mob is probably the only conspiracy he is sure of.

After listening to the Glen Greenwald episode, I fear for the future of Joe's podcast.

Specifically, when Glen started getting after Joe about "platforming" wrong ideas and Joe agreed with him then I knew what I suspected for a while was true. Joe also said that for a while he would invite right-wing people on, but he isn't doing that anymore. Looks like this podcast is going to keep getting less and less interesting, just like it has for the last year or so. Hopefully he keeps getting interesting sports and entertainment figures on, but the days of interesting political and social commentary appear to be over.
He literally just had Alex Jones on who is banned from the internet.

Who is a friend of Joe Rogan. And who he constantly talked over any time he tried to make a point.

We're going to get Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson still, I'm just saying that we aren't going to get any new or interesting guests for politics or social commentary that haven't already been "platform approved".

I seriously hope I'm wrong, but his conversation with Glen was really depressing.

He just had Shapiro on a month like 2 months ago, some Congressman from Texas like a week or so ago. I find the politics insiders to be the most boring guests. As if anyone can't predict what Shapiro is going to say at this point. But then he gets a guy like Greenwald to just shit on the entire media pretty succinctly, that's interesting. Or the new one with Tristan Harris, good shit.

I missed the part you are talking about with the platforming discussion so idk about that.

What's funny is if you read left wing twitter they are certain that Joe is a right wing tool with ties to the Trump family and is working to push a right wing agenda.

You didn't read my next post after this.

Also, the platforming part of the conversation is exactly the part that worries me. Everything else about the Greenwald talk was excellent, besides his support for socialist bullshit and class warfare ideology.

the problem with glen greenwald is that he is so not engaging, he's like stale bread, even tho he brings up pretty good journalistic integrity points

You got an approximate time for that bit of the convo? Don't remember it at all.

It is approximately here:

I can't get it exactly because they spend a while talking about similar points, but it is specifically when Joe and Glen are talking about Joe's podcast and how it became what it is now. Joe specifically says that he doesn't have on right wing people anymore and Glen agrees and says that they should give them a platform. Platforming is a bullshit excuse. Barbara Walters interviewed literal terrorists because she's a goddamn journalist and it benefited everyone to see the crazy bullshit they believed.

fucking l o l I thought you would be full of shit, you actually can hear it, sounds like a woman's voice coaching him, or someone. could be background noise on some shit Jamie has pulled up I guess?

Joe just claimed on live political stream that it is in fact him, his own voice you hear saying "relax, we are here". I don't know.

Joe has 600,000 people watching his live stream on Youtube. And, the number keeps going up. Good lord.

My takeaway from this podcast:

Kyle Kulinski is a Bernie aligned commie shill, and so is Jamie. Jamie is literally Joe's handler. It is made very clear in this stream. My favorite part is at the very end where Jamie prompts Kyle to read some sort of law stating that the Senate and the House can and will legally split the presidency in some sort of tie scenario. House picking the president, Senate the VP of course so Dems get president.

A number of times Jamie appears to get a phone call or notification to change the conversation subject and he sloppily cuts in and changes the topic to some prepared bullshit about how Biden will win. Jamie gets called out HARD for relying on snopes when looking stuff up to censor Joe's fact checks.

Its a brutal listen because Kulinski is clearly on something, but Joe shows his hand pretty hard. Mentions a lot of the Q-anon shit. Goes hard on Kyle regarding some substance that Joe Biden was taking before his debate performances to do so well. Its really fucking wild and conspiracy riddled.

If you had any doubts about whether Joe Rogan is on board with Eddie Bravo's conspiracy shit, listen to this one.

EDIT: Clip of the weird "contingent election" conversation pushed by Jamie.

The telling thing was when one of them brought up the fact that no one fears conservatives rioting if Trump loses and the other two start bringing up an instance of trump supporters driving around honking their horns. They also went on a whole white supremacist rant as if all five of the white supremacists living in the country are a threat to anyone
