As far as I know they are all full-sized books. He just decided to break them up because they were becoming way too big for the standard "two stories side-by-side" models of his previous books. He was even worried that some people would be upset about it because apparently some don't like the school stuff much, and an entire book of only school stuff would annoy them. To me, the school stuff is at least as interesting, if not more so.Maybe novella isn’t the right word.
