No I don't have it heh, I sold it to someone on Sevenstring.org, Andrew maybe? I met him at Longhorn over in Raynham, MA and he bought it.

I was the one that put the white D-Activators in and also the white knobs. When I bought the guitar it was all stock and brand new. I sold it incredibly cheap too

When I first got it, it didn't play as good as the Universe, but once I modified it, added the pickups, and set it up personally it was definitely really close. Only difference was the neck joint on the Universe was too good.
Hmm, maybe it isn't my old one then. Here's what mine looked like when I owned it. The seven string D-Activator is a fantastic pickup. It was my go-to for ages until I switched to BKPs in all of my "main" players.

Edit: BTW, if you're still in the area, I tend to have meetups at my place quite a bit in the summer. BBQ/Metal/Beers/etc. I have a pretty decent home studio/vdrum setup, you're welcome to pop up sometime and forge a little metal with us. (the mg.org crew)

Hey Seventh, how's that album coming along?
It's getting there. Wish I had more time to actually work on it.

I work for the military (drones) so as you can imagine it's pretty damn busy for us these days. I barely have time to scratch my balls, let alone record anything.

Drones fly themselves! Sounds like excuses!

My first pc recoding with myself/bands was done with M-Audio Fast Track 8r and it worked great. Its very easy to use and with Acid you are up and running quickly. I found acid to be easy to use for quick dirty recording in the beginning and then it also has enough stuff to do serious recording when you learn how to properly use it. If you have any questions about interfaces, equipment or programs with recording I am happy to answer what I can.

My first post was TLDR I know, I love my gear and wanted to really expound on it because I love it so much and for no other reason. I mentioned that I am in several bands both cover/original and always looking to play with new folks/bands. If anyone is interested I am game. We can do it in person(My house is always open for playing anytime, any day) or there are studios near my house or I am willing to come to you. I live in Toms River, NJ and work from home as a satellite engineer so I can make time anytime to play. I am also willing to do stuff with folks not close by over the net. I have tons of stuff recorded and record every day. I am a lead singer in multiple bands. I play lead/rhythm guitar in multiple bands. I also play keyboard in multiple bands. I am willing to play any type of music so let me know. When it comes to playing I am happy to super casually jam as well as get serious in a band. I know all the time and effort involved in even trying to go somewhere as an original band and willing to do that as well. If something comes along that is going somewhere I will leave my cover bands/ any bands if needed if it takes that much time as well. I am willing to let a band use any of my gear for any purpose as well.

It could be the same guitar, I got it from someone on Sevenstring.org and it was basically brand new and stock. I replaced the pickups with white D-activators, so either someone else has good taste or you have the guitar after I sold it heh. I thought they were great pickups. Easy way to identify if it was mine, when I put them in they didn't fit in the cavity so I had to carve out some of the wood to fit the wires underneath the pickups. Unfortunately I don't think I have any pics of the serial number, but I did snag this pic of a chip I made and covered up on the back - black paint covers all:

Always down to play, but do you need a 7 string to enter? haha

I actually started/owned Sevenstring.org for the first ~5 years. It's crazy how huge the site is now, I originally bought the domain with plans to put up a blog.

The 1527 I had went (I thought) from someone on JFC, to Drew (one of the old Mods on 7) to me, to a dude named Matt in Colorado about a year ago. I owned it in 2010 or so. If you had it before then, it's quite possible that I ended up with your guitar, not the other way around! Those D/As were asskickers either way. Hell, that guitar itself was just an asskicker. Comically, I have a picture of every other part of the guitar BUT that area where the touch-up is.

Edit: Actually.. I swear I remember those knobs.. Was the dude you sold it to named Drew Peterson (like the serial killer, haha) by chance? Also in MA?

Yep definitely, I mis-remembered his name as Andrew but it was definitely Drew ( don't remember his last name). I think I sold it to him for $500 or $600, but I can't remember. Not sure what JFC was, but I think I sold it through your website and since we were close we just met in person. So it is the same guitar, and we live in a small world. What is JFC? Sounds familiar, but it's been many years since I've been in the guitar forum circle.

Side note, Drew was a really cool dude. He drove about an hour to meet me even though I told him I could come meet him. He then bought me dinner (this is starting to sound gay) and I think paid a little extra because he liked the guitar so much. I bought and traded a ton of guitars/amps/etc over the years, and it was probably the best experience I've ever had. I've dealt with people that took 2+ months to ship amps, people that tried to rip me off by telling me my amps didn't sound right, people blaming me for unforeseen events - but he was a cool dude. The only other deal that rivals it is when I sold my purple RG550 to some dude really quickly because I got reemed with crazy bills unexpectedly. He told me if I ever wanted to buy it back for the same price ($350 what was I thinking?) that he would sell it back to me. 4 years later I randomly emailed him just half-joking and he told me it was still sitting in the shipping box ready for me to buy it back.

Hah, what a small world! Drew and I are good friends, and have drank about 3000 beers together. This is me and him with Ola at the SFU show a few months ago at the Middle East. Well, thanks for the great deal on the guitar then, because he sold it to me for something like $500, stating that he got a great deal on it and just gave me the same price. That thing was such an asskicker. I KNEW I recognized those knobs - they were kicking around my toolbox for ages and I think I threw them out only a short while ago.

JFC is me mistypingJCF.

I need to expand my listening. Favorite guitar-forward songs, go! Preferably classic rock style stuff (Gilmour, Knopfler, Hendrix) but I'll listen to most anything that has good tone. I'm not much into shredding.

I was listening to Yngwie yesterday and it is like listening to a cosine since he just runs arpeggios the entire time

Not my fault that you have impulse control problems. Also, those look like banjo picks.
