yeah, I mean fallout 4 is probably the best example. I had way more fun doing random quests, exploring, and building a settlement. the "main quest" of finding your kid. fuck that shit. who gives a shit about some kid I have no emotional attachment too. And worse, because I'm not an idiot, I reasoned immediately, there was no way to tell how long it had been. So I had even less reason to go looking. skyrim I think would have been better with the main questline stripped, and all the guilds expanded.

Which is explicitly why Morrowind was the superior game in the entire franchise imo. I really liked becoming the boss of EVERY guild, not just picking one and running with it.

Man, I was in a great gaming place when I played Morrowind. That game was the pinnacle of RPG for me, have not been able to replicate it since.

I was already too Fallout'ed by the time New Vegas hit that I didn't even buy it. So apparently I am now a lizard person. Sorry, resetting the simulation.

Loved the mage quest line until it bugged out and I couldn't progress. Thanks Bethesda for the great QA fixed by your player base. (Yeah I am on a hate Bethesda rampage as of late)

I wish New Vegas on Gamepass was enhanced for XBox One X like FO3 was. I have it on PC with all the add ons however so maybe one of these days I will start it up again. I got side tracked.

Ultimate lets you install either version on PC. Game Pass for PC (why is this even a thing) only lets you install the second one I believe. Both have a $1 trial, so really you wanna do the ultimate trial for $1 since its "bigger" than game pass for PC. But do it on the "right" account.

In the Windows 10 store app on your PC you can click the little person icon on the top right to have the W10 store login as a different account than your windows 10 account.

The xbox (beta) app for W10 is pretty useless and really does nothing other than act as a launcher for now, I don't even use it. Just install stuff from the W10 store and you can pin games to your taskbar. You can change where stuff is installed either before the fact or after the fact. For default location run "storage settings" from start menu, for moving app go to "Apps and Features" find the app and click the Move button under it.

Tonight when I get back to the hotel and my laptop, I need to figure out how to pin games to a taskbar so I don't have to keep launching the XBox Beta App, because it's getting really annoying to constantly tell it what account I want to use for my Store account.

Question: Did you play New Vegas? If not, it's a different animal than the Bethesda helmed Fallouts. Obsidian does this genre far better than Bethesda could ever dream to.

It shows up in Start Menu, you can right click it there and add to taskbar.

Looks like it, it just pops up a window to verify login, then closes for me.

Edit: That was the first login, now it just opens the game. Holy fuck I forgot what that was like.
