Those boxes remain interesting. Something weird was going on there. I've seen others say that the walls were probably built around the boxes judging from the narrow spacing and the lack of damage to the floors. They're part of the "the pyramids were electrical generators" theory. I've seen others that think they were the housings for chemical batteries.
It's absolutely disingenous when he says stuff like "a feat that our civilization has not achieved to this point". And he says it within 2 minutes. I mean that's just a lie. A single trip to a machine tools shop and you realize he just said something super super dumb. What he means is that no one has bothered to make a giant box out of a single piece of stone like that recently. And they made about a dozen of the things.

its underground. as in the tunnels those boxes are housed in were dug out of the stone. they go on for miles. this is but one set of chambers. the ten thousand guys working at once theory goes right out the window when it comes to 'Sokoban'ing those boxes around in there.

it is pretty dumb when they reee out with statements like that instead of just saying the truth of it, that we have no knowledge of how they could have created XYZ object with the tools we understand they had at the time

what kills me the most is the levels of apathy on the majority of people when confronted with these truths. when they do docs on PBS, BBC or Discovery Channel trying to replicate small feats, they never actually hire skilled craftsmen to come in or more than 5 guys to come help move something. its always my buddy Habib and his goatfucker pals who start whacking at rocks for two minutes or get a bunch of locals including children to help move something. its alwaiys a fail and nobody takes it seriously. its like they know its all a joke for tv ratings and nobody really cares about getting to the answer because established science already told them their version and thats how it is.

What they arent saying very loudly, is they have found hundreds of these throughout our solar system. They even show up on amateur astronomers telescopes and cams every once in a while.

A problem that I see is that any eccentricity in its tumble would mean uneven pressure is being exerted along the object, so you wouldn't expect to see a coherent force. You'd expect the entire system to degenerate long before we were even able to observe it. It's all a matter of surface areas and pressure/forces. His pressures are light pressure and gravity. In order to see a coherent force you have to assume this thing is oriented along a plane, the degree of that plane changes with distance, so you further have to assume that it self-stabilizes somehow.
You take a flat piece of paper, raise it to shoulder height and drop it. It immediately tumbles because of uneven pressures. Ignore the air as mechanistic the theoretical basis for that is uneven pressures. The same would be true for an object that he's describing. The mechanistic part of what he's talking about is light pressure or solar wind. I assume that's what his pages of equations describe.
So I guess he's right in a way. If it was that shape instead of a rocky potato then it would -have- to be artificial. But it also sounds like, from that article, his justification for this is "there's no evidence against it so far". I mean that's fine but it's not particularly convincing either. What can you really do besides for say "Sure, maybe". Like Tabby's Star.
I think it's kind of a sneaky way to work on math for how solar sails work. How they would work exactly, mechanistically, the theory is easy enough to grasp. Arthur Clarke detailed that part of it very well.

i'm actually looking forward to the space channel. i asked him if he would include things like the anomolies people say they see on The Moon, Mars and Venus and he said he was going to address stuff like that. we'll see. but yeah, he might be spreading himself thing recently. those lame rocks wasnt even worth a mention. i guess we are spoiled when it comes to the megaliths. although he has never talked about the ancient ancient ruins in Italy and Greece which are just as amazing as the Peru and Egyptian stuff.

Its because they have reached the limits of available knowledge on the subject. They have reached the point where they ether have to dig up some knew old shit. Are have to speculate on some type of gods/aliens. Most of what their putting out is a rehashed of 100+ years of the margins of the field.

So that you guys can see why I get frustrated at times, here's the conversation I literally just had with two coworkers.
They were talking about the poles shifting and bringing about an ice age, because of all the polar vortex shit (we're in California, and it might snow here in Sacramento for a brief second one of these next few days, so it's literally the apocalypse). I tried to just walk by and ignore it, but they pulled me in on purpose because they know I think they are all crazy. I forget exactly how it started, but the one specifically stated that the poles were going to abruptly shift and there would be a cataclysm of immense proportions because now all the ice at the current poles would melt, and the new poles would freeze up, etc.
After taking a calming breath, I said, "You're talking about the magnetic poles, right?" They said yes, of course, what other poles could they be talking about? Like I'm a stupid child. So I asked how the weather would change just by the magnetic poles shifting. And they said, I shit you not, "because the Earth would rotate and now the new poles would be 'up and down' compared to the sun."
I laughed out loud for a good bit there, which of course made them mad. Instead of just going in for the kill, I decided to play it out a bit, and I asked why, if the magnetic poles determined "up and down", were we at an angle to the sun currently? Is there some inherent property of magnetism that causes us to be tilted in relation to the sun? They didn't have an answer to that, but they said they expected that the new poles would be at a similar angle to the sun because of whatever reason we are currently tilted.
Eventually I explained to them that the ice caps and the seasons are entirely due to our tilt, which is COMPLETELY unrelated to what direction the magnetic poles are facing, and that shifting the poles wouldn't cause any changes other than fucking up compasses and any directional equipment that relied upon that instead of gps (which very well might result in deaths IF it were to happen instantly as they propose), and birds and other animals that use some kind of internal compass for migration, and possibly could fuck with the Van Allen belts, which could be really bad, but I'm not versed enough in that to say with any certainty, and since they didn't even know what the Van Allen belts are, they were only talking about their hypothetical impending ice age. We even googled the magnetic poles, and you'd be surprised at how many people asked that kind of question of google.
Once again, they were forced to admit they had no idea what they were talking about, but somehow I'm still a bad person for making them realize it. And this is why I'm always salty about things like this.
