Kind of looks like a meld between The Hitcher, and another movie I'm trying to remember that I believe is Australian, we're a murderer befriends a family, and the protagonist goes down the screwed up road of dealing with that weird relationship. I can't remember the name of the movie but it's pretty decent, even though unsettling. I think maybe it was even based on true events.

I'll see if I can figure out what it is and post it. Definitely looks like an intense movie though.
