i watched her since i was like 5, shes not pretty by hong kong standards (since in the 80s/90s its all hong kong cinema) only popular b/c she would do the "rough" almost butch roles in the 80s and then jackie took her on and put her through the stunt wringer

Yes she was never glamor beautiful but she had an amazing body and was attractive. 40 years ago. Now she looks like the mama-san that runs the asian massage parlor.

Enjoying the show a lot, and I usually hate hospital shows.

This last episode was really walking a fine line with "the message" though where they had both an abortion and a tranny. Neither one needed to be there, but they included it just for fun.

It is all a fucking message man. I enjoy medical dramas but need to somehow tune out 85% of dialogue. So far two episodes in I've been lectured that climate change is a crisis, we need more gun control, all the blacks and browns are brilliant, the white characters all have some goofball flaw, a white doctor wouldn't understand the signs of a sickle cell crisis, stupid whitey, bums looking for drugs faking symptoms just need someone to understand them better, social workers can solve any problem, dykes are cool, single parent motherhood is cool, nurses are all hella smart , smarter than doctors. Pretty sure a woke AI wrote this script

This show is really good. I like the format and cinematography a lot. Having the whole season take place in one day hour by hour is a nice change from most medical dramas.

But house was hardly a medical drama, it was a character study on a funny asshole who was lauded as the best as what he does.

This show is just ER with higher production value, like the fist season of Downton Abbey. Obviously , bunch of liberal horseshit squeezed in there, I showed my mom an episode and she was hooked, no surprise there.

I'm watching this and ER at the same time (with my wife). I've never seen an episode of ER before now , wife has watched them all. It's pretty wild seeing the same guy in both shows at extreme age differences.

yea er is 14 out 15 seasons, last one was garbage, noah wyle was a good 11 seasons of it, i never saw his tomb raider movies, but he makes a good living off of that, even became a tv show, he's not my favorite er character (maura tierny), but very good stable cast, this show as basically er in a "24" format, is just as good, none of that stupid er drama like we saw w/ thelma(scooby doo, hawkeyes wife) and her stupid son

Sickle cell, muh racism thing... again (throw in the black lesbian angle for extra boxes checked I guess?)

Every scene went on and on, and then felt like I was being "educated" versus entertained.

Having worked level1 trauma, I haven't seen the show, but here's how it should have been portrayed. Black guy that says he was mowing his lawn on a steep hill, after it slipped and he ran over it he went inside and drank a bunch of liquor to kill the pain. Then he called the ambulance.

I wasn't necessarily pointing out the woke shit (just so happens those were the topics), rather that each of those scenes dragged on forever and their only purpose seemed to be the doctor character doing a monologue to the audience about "current issue."

That or bird flu or plague or something requiring all the COVID-style protections / quarantines, bringing that PTSD to a point that it can't be ignored.

Dr. Mike went over some of the scenes and talked about the realism.

I didn't pick up that the american inventor was his kid, I wondered how he had time to be a big brother and be head guy in the ER

Also is there a TL;DR for that video? There is no way I'm sitting through a 20 min video that doesn't involve boobs and some sort of sex.
