I think NG plus all chalice dungeons in bloodborne is around 35 to 40 hours, ng+ you'll absolutely blow through. You can platinum on the first playthrough if you do the save trick before you consume the items at the end of the game.
have you seen my coat hanger?

I gave you that title I'm pretty sure

Edit: So I was watching some Dark Souls 2 speedruns and noticed at the Primal Bonfires Aldia was popping up - however in my game Aldia does not pop up there. Was there something I needed to do to make this happen? I can enter the DLC areas that are behind them, but no Aldia dialog.

Got my first plat today - FFVII. I don't usually go out of my way to get trophies, but I'll get what I can without extra legwork. FFVII has pretty much no added legwork, though, aside from three or four missable trophies. With 3x speed, got got Knights of the Round, gold chocobo, killed Ruby and Emerald weapons, hit 99, got 100,000,000 gil in 26 hours. I'm sure it can be done, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster.

Picked up Omega Quintet based on some recs here, as it's on sale for 12 bucks.

Just finished Tales of Zestiria. I changed my mind again. Game is crap, will be trading in ASAP.

Fire Emblem or Bravely Default -- which one is shorter? I've should have them both tomorrow, so I was going to start with whichever takes less time to beat.

Also, anyone played Stella Glow? The demo had very nice art and cutscenes, mostly good voice work, and the story seems interesting despite being somewhat cliche. Not sold on the battle system though; it came across as being very shallow compared to most other SRPGs. Atlus is on crack with the $50 price tag on a 3DS game too.

Can't believe it took me 3 days to realize that you have to move the 3D slider all the way down until it clicks to fully turn it off. :/ I was about ready to return the damn thing and get a 2DS instead. The 3D effect is kind of cool in some games, but the 'shimmering' effect is just awful to look at and it gives me a migraine after a while.

I think I beat Fire Emblem in like 50 hours, but I'm really not at all sure - it's been a while. Utterly, utterly fantastic. Still haven't beaten Bravely Default and am probably just gonna start over in anticipation for Bravely Second.

My "complete" BD save is 55 hours and that's with everything unlocked, all jobs maxed, and all side stuff/final dungeon beat. Could have probably done it a lot faster, but I tend to mess around a lot randomly, or leave games on while I do other stuff for 30m-1hr oftenish.

Fire Emblem was waaaaay more enjoyable for me in comparison to BD for obvious faults that game has plot wise lol

I have 2 weeks off, thinkin i should finally get around to playing the witcher 3 during that time

Really liking Ni No Kuni but curious to know if you ever get a fast travel option. I just finished the second area and am headed to the volcano.

Yes, you do but if I recall correctly not until pretty late in the game.

Yeah I think it's like halfway through the game. Coincidentally once that happens you now have access to the most OP monster in the entire game

Started 13-2 instead of Omega Quintet since I've been on an FF kick. So far it seems like 13 with a God of War fetish and worse graphics - seriously, that's PS2-era aliasing on Serah's hair. 13 vanilla looks way better, wtf - but I'm only half an hour into it.

Soon enough you'll see the frame rates drop into the teens and wonder what the fuck you're playing. Also stupid music.

I dunno man, I expect to end up liking it, as I've heard a lot of good thing from people who hated 13. But I've already seen the abysmal framerates you're talking about and those, compounded with aliasing issues that either weren't there or were barely perceptible in 13, have me scratching my head. I know we're dealing with static hardware here, so graphics aren't gonna improve by leaps and bounds, but I'm not sure I can think of a sequel that has significantly worse graphics than its predecessor. (Bracing myself for the flood of responses listing painstakingly any sequel launched with worse graphics than its predecessor!)

Barely started Lightning Returns PC. So far I'm just going with the assumption that a setup that somewhat mirrors the paradigms from the other two is ideal. Basically com/rav/tank at the moment for achieving stagger and getting hp back.

It'd be nice if time lock wasn't buried in a menu.

I assume 13-2 was made by the D team and 13-3 was made by the guys they keep locked under the stairwell.

Largest master race issue remains the jarring drop in image quality during cutscenes.

Each game is better than the previous one though.

And, yeah, that's about right for schemata. Unless you're using DLC items, in which case it's just "LOL Elementa" and only switching to something else on the rare occurrence where enemies are still left alive after the first volley. Replace Elementa with Slayer for most bosses. I don't recommend using the DLC though, way too cheesy.

I didn't mind the rails of the first game, just how long it took for the combat system to have any meaning. It gets much better when you actually need to manage buff/debuff/healing without tanking stagger. Those fucking Behemoths...

I minded the rails a little, but what really puckered my vagina was the way the game consistently constricted what you were allowed to develop in the Crystarium so that you wouldn't roflstomp the big bad in the next hallway.
