I'm not sure I'd pick up the re-release of DQ 8 personally, but that's only because I have it on PS2 and there's no real reason to double up with the drop in quality, even if there is an additional dungeon/ending deal. That's what youtube is for!

Probably not picking up SMT:IV's "enhanced" version either. I thought it was pretty much perfect, minus some absurd difficulty at the start before you get down to uh, the place down below. Then it evens out and is much better across the board.

But a lot of that list has my attention, and can't wait for it all to drop.

Yeah what Pyros said. SMTIV Final is a completely new game and a sequel to a game I adored. I loved the monster conversations in the first one. It also had some amazing muic.

Just a quick question on dragon age. I made it up to the point where the main quest requires 40 power to proceed. It's some major attack or whatever. How close to the end is this? Tired of grinding power.

It's called What Pride Has Wraught or something and according to the guide looks to be the beginning of the end of the game.

Yeah seems it's the last one, I don't really remember but checking the wiki it's the last step you have to spend stuff for and unlocks the final arc.

I think FFX remaster is worth playing. Don't get too hung up on the dialogue, the story and the combat are both pretty good.

I got sucked into Disgaea 5 hardcore. Everyone who said the chibi anime retardation was unbearable was right so I just turned every single sound effect and music off and skip all dialogue sequences, load up the spotify app on my PS4 and grind away. The game itself is pretty addicting, the environment, sounds, music and dialogue are atrocious though.

That's how I approached it as well. The story is boring and the dialogue is awful, but it's a damn fun game. Got about 100 hours out of it before progression became too painful.

Wish I could have found the Disgaea D2 lobby music because it's one of the only (maybe the only) tracks in the series I recall liking, so I would have had that play in the lobby.

I skipped the second one. I did origin and Inquisition and hated both. Guess the series just isn't for me.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir finally confirmed for western release -- June 7th.

I very rarely bother with collector's editions of anything, but for Vanillaware I was thinking about making an exception. As it turns out, Amazon is selling the Storybook Edition for $63.99 if you're a Prime member, so for only a few bucks more than the base game it was a no-brainer.

Edit: Apparently the new 20% off all preorders thing applies to the base game as well even though it doesn't say that specifically, but fuck it, I want the art book. I guess this is a permanent thing for Prime(?), probably to compete with Best Buy's gamer club.

Yeah, supposed to run at 1080p60 on PS4. It's a bit more than just the usual remaster treatment too, from what I understand.

There's a demo of the game on the japanese PSN if you wanna make an account to check it out. I haven't bothered but reading what people said about the game, they reworked the combat entirely so it's a lot better, so it's safe to assume they removed any sort of FPS dips and shit, at leaqt on PS4. Vita version, might not be the same. They probably reworked the flow of the game too so it's not as grindy(no confirmation until the game releases for that though). It's not like a shitty port, it's a real remaster that seems like it'll be worth the money(which btw, is probably going to be full cost as it is in Japan, so be prepared for that, or wait for sales and shit later on).
