I kind of want to reinstall to play through the new missions but I'd have to redo my builds, ugh. Unless I'm lucky and logged out in my hammer/shotgun soloing setup, since that's mostly all I'd need anyway. I didn't use the buggy and worthless (at the time) in game deal, so even if that stores server-side, all my setups are gone.

It's still buggy and worthless, isn't it? Haven't played in a long time, but remember the devs saying they weren't worried about it because a 3rd party addon fixed it anyways.

What? It's not buggy at all, nor worthless. Buy it for 10 bucks and see for yourself, or stfu.
I'm pretty sure that he was responding to Kreugen and talking about the build-saver, not the game in general.

Not exactly sure how a 3rd party add-on could fix a buggy and worthless full game; That'd be one hell of an add-on.

The gear manager is indeed still fairly buggy (not worthless) and the addon does indeed still fix it!

Anyone doing the anniversary content? Anything worth logging in for as far as costumes/gear from the world bosses or anything like that?

Got this in December. Just now starting it. Like it so far. Feels like gw2 had a threesome with swtor and Dan Brown.

Yeah, I started playing this the other day since it was on sale at Amazon for $10. Enjoying it pretty well so far. Like everyone says, the combat is pretty crap, but otherwise it's fun. Currently in Savage Coast. I had a group try Polaris and it went poorly. We got to the Primordial Dweller boss before we kept wiping.

I've got a blade/AR build, and I still haven't figured out how that translates into a class. In Polaris, we had everyone but me and another guy (healer) wipe, and I basically tank/healed the boss with just the other guy supporting. Same thing happened on that Primordial Dweller one, but the adds fucked us up. So I don't know if everyone else is just that bad, or if I'm actually a tank/healer hybrid, even though it feels more like I'm dps.

Edit: Also, a recent complaint, is that packs of mobs absolutely fuck me up so bad. I'm wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong, or if my build is missing something.

I'm doing Blade/Chaos right now for tank. A friend told me that would probably "feel" like a DK. I'm still in the starter zone though. I really dug that one quest that fucking ends with you looking at a bible verse for a code.

The investigation quests are fun, but some of them it's just not worth my time. Like the seance circle ones in Savage Coast/New York/London. Holy fucking shit, I don't have the time to decipher all those symbols. Especially when if you screw up just one letter you start all over again.

As far as my issues go, apparently it's because Savage Coast doesn't flow well and I went to the amusement park and woods first, when those are some of the last you should go. The amusement park in particular is fucking brutal. Went to the Academy instead and it's much easier. I'm still confused as shit about this game, since I went with a suggestion from a long time ago to save my coins. I've got 2 QL6 weapons, but I don't feel particularly powerful. In fact, I kind of can't figure out how this game scales. Really the only difference between me and a max level char is a few items, and they know what they're doing with their abilities.

The seance one is garbage. Process of elimination is a stupid puzzle mechanic.

What do they judge a quest's difficulty on? How many skill points you have? I feel like after two weeks of relatively solid playing nothing has really has become "normal" and everything seems to still be "hard" or higher.

From your gear I think. You are expected to have a certain QL of gear in a zone or when doing a quest. I've seen the difficulty change on a quest from equipping gear.

I think I am one of the few who play this game because I find the combat fun; As you can move around while using abilities it feels more fluid (and most of the animations feel fluid enough, with a few exceptions), endless combinations of skills and gear makes tinkering for more dps, mitigation/threat and heal output fun. Playing the encounters as different roles give more replayability, as well as beating the encounters using hybrid heal/dps, tank/dps, heal-tank builds.

The player-base has steadily increased since the initial launch-rush + fall-out, and I never have trouble getting people together for nightmare PUGs or NYC Raid.

For those who find solomon island zones difficult, stop doing quests for a minute to look at the ability-wheel and try to make a better build (or send Cognacjack a message in-game)

I believe Issue 8 will add skirmish type group/raid-instances with random events to make each encounter somewhat unique, and issue 9 (?) will add another zone (Tokyo) and a raid.
