So here's an update on this purchase. The stuff came in today. And I haven't touched the shower floor in 2 weeks, so it was pretty dirty.I'm not a fan of cleaning the floor of my shower stall. It's always discolored, and all the scrubbing in the world doesn't solve the problem. So I've done a lot of research, and this seems like a pretty good product to use. So from now on, I'll take a shower, then once every other week (after taking the shower so the floor gets saturated), I'll sprinkle this on before drying myself off.)

The next step comes after I finish drying off and brushing my teeth. Getting down on my hands and knees to scrub is a real pain in the ass. And even if this new powder cleaner is a miracle cure, I'm still going to need to scrub. So I was looking for a new hard bristle scrub brush, and I stumbled across this genius invention. Holy shit, why didn't I think of it? This is awesome. It'll do a much better job of me just trying to scrub by hand, and I can put a lot of weight on the drill while holding the trigger and REALLY clean the shower.

I'll let you know how it works when it comes in. Probably some time next week. (Hawaii doesn't follow the 2 day prime thing)
thats asian hair, its as strong as hell, probably wrapped itself under the grate. All that time cleaning the shower, can't get hair out of drain
It's not hair in the drain. It's actually rust on the cover plate. We rent here, so I'm not going to change anything. This building has old iron pipes. It's nasty looking, but I'm not too worried about it.

why do plumbers and mechanics always make everything sound dire? HOLY SHIT you're lucky you brought the car in when you did, you really needed to change the air freshener in your car. you could have had a bad smell.Do you have a basement or how/where is this bathroom situated. If this is a house you rent, this will need to be fixed today or in so many years. Do you have access to a crawlspace? This all ready looks like its leaking or will leak any minute. It looks like I can push a screwdriver through it all ready.
If you have a basement, I wouldnt keep anything nice under this area where the shower is.
*retired plumber, Ive fixed hundreds of these types of things in Chicago.

I just bought my house. Mortgage is paid in full and I am officially debt free.
