Araysar, You are wearing a 2k suit, and you would really consider wearing ANY of those socks? I am so far from being a fashion expert it isn't funny. Black/blue/white socks. That's it. Then again, I have never been called whimsical.

My boots. I buy nothing but Timbs. No buckles or straps. Just boots. Now I have every reasonable color of said Timbs...Just to make sure I can match the occasion. Work? Brown Timbs. Play? Darker brown Timbs. Need to silently kill the ex? Black Timbs.
blackest post I ever read on this forum

I find it oddly unsettling that Brahma makes no mention of do-rags and matching all articles of clothing to his shoe color.. something I find modern black people do. Then again Brahma is a nerd, so I don't think he is the typical black man.

Well, that didnt reinforce every stereotype about black fashion at all. No mention of Francois Girbaud jeans?

I jumped on the Sodastream bandwagon a year ago and I'm ashamed to admit that after a few months it disappeared into the closet, never to be seen again. If any of you want one PM me and you can have mine for free lol.. After awhile it just wasn't worth the hassle.. In concept you figure you'll be saving money and trips to the store, but in reality it costs almost as much as off the shelf soda, doesn't taste as good, and in the end it's probably more hassle than trips to the store anyways. First off you have to be stocked up on the syrups, then you have to have enough 1L expensive "proprietary" bottles so you aren't making soda every day, and of course you have to stay on top of the gas canister exchanges.. After a few months of ordering syrups, exchanging canisters, rinsing plastic bottles, cleaning up dripped syrup, and fetching/storing the Sodastream every few days, an epiphany hit-- I was still going to the grocery store just as often, I just wasn't lifting a case of Sprite into my trunk anymore.. Ultimately, 20% savings off of regular soda and a 10% reduction in bicep usage when doing groceries wasn't enough to offset the hassle of dealing with the Sodastream..
Sodastream syrups suck cause they use that fake sugar shit. I like to use theseTorani |. Much better and a huge variety. Or just buy the syrups of the soda you like from places like Costco. Plenty of you tube videos on how to carbonate your booze also.

The thing doesn't really save you money. It's more for if you want to make unique flavors and drinks that you can't get in stores imo.

I didn't get it to save money, mostly just convenience and a little less waste on my part. Plus, I didn't even ask for it so that was a bonus. It came with about 6 or 7 full syrup bottles plus they gave me some they didn't end up liking. I'll probably buy a few more and be quite stacked up for awhile. All in all, so far I've spent $5 and have around 10 bottles of syrup, a free soda stream, and a free CO2 cannister.

Yeah, if you're into making unique carbonated concoctions not available over the counter I can definitely see the appeal. Myself I just wanted unlimited Diet Coke and Sprite on demand, and their Diet Coke tasted like "Acme Cola". Never thought of actually buying real Coke syrup from Costco though.. Hmm...

Well some ARE true. Though I am older, and have no idea who Francois Girbaud is. Carhartt jeans are all I wear. Good quality. Levi's if I'm feeling whimsical.

I am asking seriously. Doesn't that ruin the outfit if you wear a wild pair of socks with a nice outfit? Not that I could ever afford 2k suits, but I would never ruin said look by trying to make a statement.

EDIT. Oh fuck yoll. No way I am wearing those fag looking skinny jeans. My son asked me for a pair of skinny jeans. I smacked him. Hard.

EDIT the 2nd. I saw your post in the gay guy thread. You're way out of my league in fashion. Sorry to bother you.

Tell your son only faggy hipsters wear skinny jeans.

On topic, I just bought a Hakko FX888D soldering station. A lot of people reviewed it higher than the Weller stuff because customer service in the US is top notch compared to Weller. Pretty excited to start soldering and shit.

I don't really like mine that much. I find that to really get a good tortilla I have to press it then roll it, just pressing it makes it way too thick. So I might as well just roll the fucking thing.

Yeah, that's what I read on a lot of the reviews. Though a lot of people say placing the ball closer to the joint will help. I have to imagine pressing, then rolling is faster than just rolling though. I've been rolling them manually and I'm just not very good at it.

Wait until you see my new pepper grinder. I've been working on a photo-shoot all morning, but I just can't seem to get the light right.

Lol square toed shoes. Didn't know they still made these post 2010.

Engineering boots aren't exactly my thing but the ones you got are pretty gaudy and ugly imo. Way too much shit going on for absolutely no reason.

If we're on the topic of boots I just wear some 1K Addisons mostly every day

Like I said engineering boots aren't my thing and these are pretty heavily lugged but I've heard good things about these flat head boots

Rakuten: Flat head THE FLAT HEAD Engineer Boots horsehide- Shopping Japanese products from Japan

Also (not me in picture) but I bought a pair of Strike Gold 3109 jeans. I have been eyeing them since I bought my Momotaros about 4 months ago. 17 oz, unsanforized, left hand twill. Fit nice and contruction is mind blowing. Right up there with my Samurai denim but fit much, much better.

I just bought the black Corsair Vengeance K70 keyboard. The black version only comes with Cherry MX reds, the "same" as the K60 which I've owned since it came out. The K70 is superior to the K60 in everyway. The keys have 30-40% less resistance, keys are much smoother to press, and the wrist rest feels great (a nice rubbery feeling). Oh, and full mechanical keyboard (the K60 function keys were rubberdome). Corsair basically addressed every single problem with the K60 keyboard. I might chuck the K60 and buy another K70 for work.

My wife's brother got that keyboard. I honestly don't understand red switches. It felt almost like a really nice membrane for resistance. Build quality seemed nice. I also double checked his to see if the rubber dome was still in place. But I don't see me switching ever to a linear switch.

I also had to laugh because he said "It sounds like a 90s typewriter" but the keys were really, really quiet. I guess he just heard mech keyboards are loud and decided all mech keyboards are loud.
