I can tell you with 100% certainty that a man that spends $7000 on a parachute has neither of those or is divorced.Reeks of adrenaline sport. Hope you don't have wife and kids, TJT.
I guess if I jumped out of an airplane, I'd want a pretty damned good parachute. Not the time to pinch pennies.I'll explain any pieces to you if you're interested. A lot of the components on the top are "options" for the container, I only got them because I had the discount coupon and made so much off of my old rig's sale.
Container options are mainly for coolness and comfort. Stainless steel hardware over Cadmium (negligible difference one is just shinier), embroidered initials on the lapel, foam padding sewn in for comfort. Colors on certain pieces. Only life saving option is the RSL (Reserve Static Line Boost) which can force your reserve to open faster. Which is good.I guess if I jumped out of an airplane, I'd want a pretty damned good parachute. Not the time to pinch pennies.
round rock, but yeahYou're cleared for AFF solo. But you're probably 6 coach jumps and 7 solos away from an A license. Which has a hard req of 25 jumps.
Honestly go for the low hanging fruit. I first bought an alti, a jumpsuit, helmet, etc while hunting for a rig. Buy used. Seriously. First rigs can be had for $3000 or less. Just hunt around. Ask at Dropzone, etc. I was at 50 or so jumps by the time I bought my first rig.
You live in Austin too right?
So chairs for the master of the house and his wife, a bench for your guests?I now dine on hipster wood only.
