Once you get to the 2nd or 3rd season when it starts being broadcast in HD it doesn’t feel so dated anymore.

more like 1999-2015, its been getting shittier and shittier for a few years now

frankly thank god, in a misguided attempt to reverse tits and ass "misogny" TV shows in the past few years thought everyone wanted to see dongs and 90 lb women being John Wick.

anyways new deleted scenes and stuff are up on HBO and i didn't know this but they shot a 3 years after the ending spot just to attempt to lure Lebron James to the Knicks lol

Honestly we're gonna have to ride our hopes on AppleTV+ to carry the torch for a while. Apple has the money to burn to make niche prestige dramas as halo products.

They didn't piss money away buying IPs and studios to build a service and are doing it themselves so yeah, probably accurate.

I cringe every time I see a new movie with the iconic MGM logo and then some vandalism below it about it being an AMAZON COMPANY. Tacky.

Prime is honestly pretty good, all things considered. I don't have high hopes it stays that way.

After binge watching True Detective, I was in need of something else to take a look at. Found out that the local service I have has all the seasons of The Sopranos for viewing. I had not realized how old they were. The first season is from the last century for fucks sake. And they have the Twin Towers in the title sequence. I was there, Gandalf, 3000 years ago!

Anyway, I remember when it was on the TV back in the day and Mother liked to watch it. I had more important things to do than to watch some depressed gangster talk to a shrink, such as playing computer games. Now that I have a laptop, I can play computer games while watching some depressed gangster talk to a shrink. Good TV.

it's alot of characters to keep track, even the fbi couldn't nail em down on their conspiracy board

Good shit. I'm glad you have something to watch.

If you're still in the mood for a police based show (after you're done with Sopranos), I strongly strongly suggest The Wire. The first season's amazing. A lot of people have trouble getting through the 2nd season because it's so much different than the first, but stick with it. That show is a monster. And it was airing on HBO the same time Sopranos originally was.

the only show from that era i haven't watched that everyone always recommends (Sopranos, Wire, Rome, Deadwood, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Lost, etc) is Oz. I dunno, watching a bunch of dudes rape each other in prison doesn't sound like fun

it does have JK Simmons playing a nazi though which sounds awesome, but then he probably rapes dudes too which doesn't sound awesome

all the fat gay shit in Sopranos was so goddamn awful, i still hate that episode where that fat fag goes to Vermont or whatever

Oz is dumb. The wire is the best show of all time. Season 2 of wire separates the folders from the men.

I'm sure it'll be a great experience at 50% attention span.

Sad but true. It's sad how many people watch TV shows while browsing their phones or they get confused by seemingly obvious plot points. Cultural ADHD.
Those same people do literally everything while browsing their phones so why stop just cause the TVs on?

Fuckin zombies. The necessity for The Purge grows every day.
