This show is actually pretty damn funny
I tend to HATE Hollywood insider stuff, just bugs me to no end how sanctimonious and preachy most of them come out. Most of the time there is absolutely no humor either. Like I tried to watch The Franchise and just aborted after 2 episodes, absolute unfunny garbage.
This one is ok. Some episodes are pretty good, some are just ok. I haven't seen anything that actively makes me want to turn it off. I generally do NOT find Seth Rogan funny at all either, his laugh/voice is grating but he hasn't really laughed much in the show and it makes a lot of fun of the system, him, studios, etc.
Its more a show that glorifies/fetishizes pre 1990s Hollywood and backs it up with technicals, like an episode goes a lot into the single shot (Goodfellas restaurant walk-in) but cleverly the episode uses that technique itself heavily so its, I dunno, kinda neat.
I haven't watched the last 2 episodes so maybe it turns into Trump bashing but so far its just more about how the movie studio system is falling apart and everyone is just chasing big budget franchises, which is true and done decently. I think if you love older movies this is pretty fun.
Its jewy as all hell but the show makes fun of that all the time too, how Jewed up Hollywood is.
