All right, let's say "enough of the public for it to be profitable". My mom doesn't scour through rape stories looking for literally anything that could be interpreted as "evidence" the rape claim is false, but the AIAs have more than enough clout for the media not to give a shit about that.

Quaid: "I'd like you to back up that claim. I'd like examples of rape hoaxes that were presented as such from the time they gained widespread media attention from an 'insatiable' public. I'm not talking about stories of rape allegations that turned out to be lies, I'm talking about media stories that started out as focused on a hoax itself, that was intended to feed this supposed huge appetite we all have to watch young women lie about rape."

The stories I mentioned earlier back up my claim. Each one of those stories, regardless of how they started, had discussions devoted to them PACKED with typical AIA "the sky is falling" grandstanding, here and everywhere AIAs gather. The media is happy and will eagerly showcase their next rape story, knowing damn well they'll get shitloads of hits from AIAs looking for signs it's a rape hoax and shitloads from the SJWs trying to score points for the other side. I would even argue that the BEST stories are the ones where it isn't clear whether the rape accusation is genuine or not (like mattress girl), since the ambiguity forces each side to up their game and insist they have it all figured out.

Lith didn't answer my question, but if anybody else would like to take a stab at it I'd like to hear:

Why does this rock-solid evidence that Sulkowicz consented to anal not hold any legal weight? Why isn't Nangussen suing the pants off (ha!) Sulkowicz for defamation? If she "ruined his life" on a provable lie, why isn't he using his slam-dunk evidence to take her down?

To put it another way, what was legally provable was all that mattered in the Zimmerman case. Why is this different? FFS, we weren't even allowed to suggest racism might have been a factor because we couldn't legally prove Zimmerman was a racist, but for some reason now we're allowed to say with complete confidence that Sulkowicz made false rape accusations (a serious crime), not based on what's legally provable but based on your feels-based interpretations of the facts. Seems more than a little hypocritical to me.

The rock solid evidence that she consented to anal is why her case failed in the Columbia University tribunal, you fucking idiot, and the reason he's not suing her directly is because that would look like he is vindictive and would be bad press, which is the last thing he needs after having his name dragged through the mud across campus and the world for over two years, you dolt.

By suing the university, instead, he hits a higher value target, and looks better in the press. Stop asking stupid questions you already know the answer to, then crying no one bothers to explain to you the flat obvious nature of these things, you fucking dipshit.

Whats funny is, just like in Zimmerman, Tanoomba is once again assuming the story advanced by the race-baiting (in this case, rape-baiting) media is truth, the "victim" deserves complete deference, and we're all being "assholes" for not blindly agreeing that some guys life needs to be dismantled over an unfounded accusation.

Now one thing Tanoomba says is true: We do not know for certain that he didn't do exactly as she says. There is a chance, however small, that she is telling the 100% unvarnished truth and this guy is a sexual predator. However, in the absence of evidence, we must assume innocence (Just like we did with Zimmerman.) The absence of evidence is NOT proof of innocence. However, is also isn't proof of guilt.

All we can do is say, based on the facts, what the situation looks like to us; because thats all this is at this point, a war of public opinion. This guy will never be prosecuted. He will never successfully sue Emma unless she does something more stupid than she's already done. So this is just the media pissing on itself back and forth. We can each have our opinions but there's not going to be any resolution, whatever is going to happen in this case has already happened.
