Terrifier is somewhat both slapstick and gorefest. It does lean more heavily to the sadistic gore side but Art the Clown definitely has his "clown antics".

This music video I think captures both his love for creating pain and chaos as well as having fun with it like he does in the movies.

The beginning is a long ass intro. Fast forward to the music and you'll see what I mean. Art's interaction with the crowd and especially the band is the typical Art personality.

Destiny supposed to be a demon or something and there's a overarching story revolving why he's the killer clown or some BS? I just remember seeing a stupid article on one of their retarded websites talking about how it was the greatest horror movie franchise since sliced bread.

First movie he's human. Second and third is the resurrected demon arch. Making him supernatural ala Vorhees, Myers, Krueger.

To get this thread back on track, I think Toxic is going to be in the same vein as Dead Alive as far as gore and comedy goes. Not sure about Dink being Toxi though, considering Toxi isn't a small dude.

I might have to check them out then.

The music videos okay, I guess that's newer metal, but it was still not bad. Think part of it is just my taste of gravitated towards that subtle, grinding, and dooming horror versus just shock and awe. Doesn't mean that doesn't have its place especially if you've got a slow buildup film, and then suddenly in the last act everything gets completely chaotic, but I would probably have appreciated stuff like this more when I was younger.

Fair enough! I think the first Terrifier is worth checking out. It's your slower more grindhouse-esque movie that I don't think expected to become as popular as it did. I do think it's popularity firmly put Art the clown in the Top Horror Villians in cinema.

Yeah I guess I just had started seeing articles about it and reading them, but you got to take all that stuff with a grain of salt because it's all clickbait shit, but every now and then you'll find a kernel of corn in the turd, but everything is always said it's the goriest movie you'll ever see and it just kind of turned me off.

If that's the whole schtick, and there's nothing else behind it, I just don't really care about watching it at that point.

That's honestly a pretty good question though as to what are the best horror movie villains or antagonist throughout Cinema history. I mean if crazy clown gorefest guy is up there, who or what does he top?

Maybe we had to make a thread and then we can do a poll, and see what everybody thinks. I guess I've got my own ideas on what is best, and I think I already knew my number one.

For those that care. The originals are on Tubi if you want to rewatch or watch for the first time.

For what it's worth both 1 & 2 are available on Prime.

They both showed up in my recommendations last night which was a bit of a WTF, but now I understand why.

Also I only recall bits and pieces from the first one, so maybe I'm missing out on some "lore"...but why the fuck is the Toxic Avenger a midget?

It’s a remake. Looks like they based this one on the concept of Peter Dinklage becoming him.

in the original, he’s not a midget. It’s a scrawny nerd.

I mean... at least they didn't go with a Snow White midget.
I remember enjoying the originals because they were fun and I was a teenager. I'll probably give this a watch for nostalgia.

The original will never be remade to it's full potential. Toxi in the original gets called a "fascist faggot" that's like dividing by zero to woke Hollywood.
