There are very strict rules set in treaty that defines allowable behavior in this airspace. USSR/Russians for decades loved to jerk off and skate those rules, but 99.9999% of "incidents" weren't anything to think about.

There's a distinct reason why Alaska gets all the best aircraft and pilots first. That this cheesedick broke all the rules and on our side of the fence AND not get blown out of the sky illustrates how cool heads prevail.
