Could've been that she tripped and wasn't actually trying to stop before the edge, too. Video doesn't show much but she doesn't look like she's done much running in her life so could just be clumsy.

I must be fucking blind, as I went through 10+ pages and didn't see my earlier post of this. Someone found the scammer's car and busted out their windows. It's the third video in this set (left/right arrows when you mouse over the video). It also illustrates all the moving parts of the scam:
