No shit. The joke is whoever put the "Cops saying I'm wrong???" on the video was the driver of the non-POV car. There are about a dozen things wrong with that turn attempt (failure to yield, crossing double yellow, etc.)

Hit by a one leg redneck going “straight”
I was ticketed and took it to court
Judge ruled I was at fault as I was turning left. I said “even with a left green arrow?” And he said it didn’t matter- raddled off the state statute referencing left always yields and gavel down.
I have used my own case in traffic court lol
It’s why you will see left turn yields to u-turn even w left arrow light signs, as the basis is- left always yields.

honestly surprised you don't hear about more fatalities with Florida installing fake out, meaningless traffic lights that run counter to common sense, the laws of every other state, in fact runs the exact opposite to the way the rest of the fucking planet works. In japan the lights are blue instead of green but at least a left turn signal (actually right...cus right hand drive vehicles, doesn't matter...) means you have the right of fucking way because why the fuck else would it even exist?? If you need a "you can turn left, but you need to yield to oncoming traffic" signal its called a STANDARD GREEN LIGHT you stupid fuck why would you even bother installing an extra light just to trick people into getting into head on collisions? It's not like florida has some huge population of people who migrate there seasonally from other states who are used to normal logical traffic laws and who would be extra susceptible to falling for these fake traffic lights?

Yeah not sure I've ever seen a directional green + green on oncoming traffic. Usually teh green arrow goes away and, depending on the lane, it may have a normal green light indicating you can go but its not your right of way. Either way its a bullshit video cause no way the driver would have been at fault.

It’s the “who’s at fault in the eyes of the law” and yes its stupid - but it is indeed the letter of the law- that if you have a left green arrow and someone runs the red light straight and hits you - if the judge and cop want to- they can say the left turning yields and is at fault - like they did to me.
If your a cop or even a judge, and there is no evidence except “i had a green” and “i had a green arrow left” even though the one legged redneck was full of it- and this is before dash cams.
Who do you believe? With how the law is, the left is burdened to yield more than the straight. Without proof of anything other than directions traveled. Even if both lights were red. The left yields.

Anywhere else on earth "I had a green arrow and turned left" "Nuhh uhh, i had a green light officer.." is met immediately with "Ok one of you is lying lets just check the cams, looks like you ran a red light here is your ticket" you led us to believe that it was possible for the left turn arrow to be green and the opposing traffic could also have a green

While I agree that, at first, it sounded like you were saying that the left arrow was not a protected turn, I understand what happened. There was no evidence or witness in the case saying the dude ran a red light, so the judge had to go with the default rules and uphold the police report (who must not have had any witness corroborating your account). It sucks sometimes, but that's how court is supposed to work.
