Enough with this shit already. Conspiracy nuts like to point to project Northwood as some kind of revelation when it is in fact just one of a million government contingency plans. You can find contingency plans written by the state department on literally every conceivable topic, including alien invasions. Project Northwood was not implemented; 99.99% of contingency plans are not implemented.

Operation Northwoods is kinda creepy, but if you actually read through the proposed 'incidents', you'll notice an obvious theme. It was planned as a HOAX, where fake terrorists would blow up fake buildings and ships/planes, and fake victims (around 10 was the number suggested) would get fake funerals, no actual casualties would occur, all while a handful of fake witnesses would proclaim over and over that it was all real. How does that turn into ACTUAL attacks by known terrorists killing thousands of civilians with millions of actual eyewitnesses, while a handful of people proclaim over and over that it was all fake? Boy they made it way harder than they needed to, and somehow still executed it perfectly.
