Some parts are meh, some dumb assumptions about modern connections, and the Vietnam thing was a lot more complex than they said (Both in terms of withdraw and rehab, the soldiers did go to rehab)...but overall a good look at how addiction is extremely misunderstood...Heroin can be used by most happy people without an issue, just like alchohol. People become compulsive with it because of other issues in their life, then they develop the physical dependence on it.

I've lost a significant group of friends to heroin, one dead, others drifting out of the circle, in and out of rehab, lives damaged, maybe forever. I wouldn't trifle with opiates.
