Sorry, you're wrong. It's never even implied that anyone wants Andrea specifically disarmed. It would take only a ten second scene to show that, if it was the case. The only fucking reason for it was because the shitty writers wanted Andrea vs zombies/Gov with just her pocket knife. It's pretty fucking obvious.
The show sucks balls, but I think they have done all that should be necessary to show that Martinez was specifically making a point of taking Andrea's gun. Any weapons, really. They cut her out of the circle and they disarmed her, and they were going to smilekill her at the meeting with Rick.

No. Why bother? If they wanted to off Andrea they would just do it in Woodbury. It was completely contrived that Martinez would just happen to take her gun as she was headed out of fucking town. And I still don't get why she even gave it up. What was he gonna do? Wrestle her down in the middle of the street and take it? Threaten to shoot her? Kick her out of Woodbury? lol

I think we are supposed to believe that the Sims in Woodbury are stupid enough to have some kind of investment in Andrea, after her little speech and all. If she had refused I have no idea what he would have done, it isn't well written, you forget. So the Governor can't just have his henchmen off her in the streets in front of everyone, he has these people convinced that he is the good guy.

They are taking Andrea to teh meet, they would have wanted her armed if they really thought she was... you know what, fuck this show, I am not putting this level of analysis into it. Just fuck it.

Andrea hopefully dies at the end of the season. At least give me that much before I quit.
She is going to be tourtured hardcore, machonne will save her last second and be so pissed off at the gov her nostrils will flare so hard they will grow little fists popye style and take him down.

If this show didn't have multiple airings all sandwiched around Adult Swim I'd never remember to even tune in but at those time slots I can catch anything. There is not a single other show on television that I watch week to week right now.

I wish I could say I thought the comic was still really, really good but I don't feel that way about it anymore.

Know what this episode could have used? About 20-30 more minutes of cat and mouse with Andrea and the Governer. Then it would have been perfect. Because that didn't get old after the first 15 minutes of it.

Also amazing job on him shattering the glass, couldn't see all the vapor from the air cannon or anything.

No shit. And the Governor just telepathically finds her in the middle of a motherfucking field in bumfuck Georgia. Why? Why did we need that episode? So much butthurt.

Ya, her being disarmed makes sense. The gov has been trying
to keep her out of the loop and it's clear that his trust of her has been eroding since she figured out who it was at the prison.

Him taking her to the massacre would have been a final test. Works out better if she has no weapons in the event she "fails" the test. However, her little trip has accomplished the same thing, which means she screwed.

I never said they'd shoot her like a dog in the street. Don't be so fucking obtuse. If the Governor had wanted her dead he knows where she sleeps. Right next to him. Nekkid.

And how the fuck am I forgetting that the show isn't well written? My entire fucking point was the shitty writing. We don't get the fucking cat and mouse scene if Andrea has her gun, so they write in that bullshit scene and take it away. Period.

Edit: Yes, we can all make up shit to try and support the bad writing, doesn't change the facts.

Also realized something else. The Governor doesn't even fucking know that she doesn't have her gun, but he acts like he does. More bad writing.

I couldnt figure out what that mist was, is an air cannon something new to that effect? The old school way was a jump cut to an already broken pane of glass that shatters with the hit. Looks better than that mist.

Usually plot holes in this series don't bother me a lot but the truck was too much. Even if the governor took the keys, she could have slashed the tires or disabled the electrical system.

Well i guess the show peaked when they reached that research center. They really were out of options there, the night was closing in and the atmosphere felt really hopeless and threatening. Then they finally managed to get in, only to find that single lone scientist who tells the group there's no one left, no cure has been found and the building will shut down in a couple of hours.

Never reached that tension again, bit of a shame really.

If he specifically told Martinez to make sure and get it, then he would know. Like he told Martinez to cut her out of everything, which he obviously did.

I hate that, regardless of how bad the season finale will be, I will still likely watch the next season while reviling every aspect of it.

Seriously. That scene was pretty tropetastic and all but it wasn't as bad as he's making it sound. There's plenty of legit complaints, some people reach to pick out some problem that's not really there. I agree on Andrea's reaction too, I was sitting there like, ok tell him no, is he going to gun you down in the street in front of everyone?

If it's not shown or mentioned, it didn't fucking happen. End of discussion.

Seriously, dude, just let it go. As I said, we can play make-believe about what might have happened offscreen all we want, it doesn't change the bad fucking writing.

Here, I'll play. It must have been that while the Governor was at the beach working on his tan, he called Martinez on his cell-phone and told him to take Andrea's gun. Then Martinez texted him back to let him know it was done. The writers just didn't add those scenes to the script cause it's so fucking obvious that's what happened.

I think everyone watching the show except you got the impression that Martinez was taking the gun under orders from Phillip, being that he's clearly the top muscle thug for him now that Merle's gone. (Which was also implied rather than stated.) It was blatantly obvious that Andrea could see right through it too. Seeing how that was my first post on the subject and you are arguing with numerous real and imagined foes of your misguided opinion, it would seem that you need to "let it go".

Once again, there are plenty of things to bitch about here. You're off base on this one and you should quit while you're behind. Lets end this and focus on the real threat!!!!
