binged through the whole season, wish more just slow scenes of thailand, all the island drone views and temple stuff was fantastic and it should have been 80% of the show.

Money turning people into assholes is true equality.

while i think they paid too much time to gaitok/mook i did find it one of the more better executed stories, especially how mook friendzones him until he proves he is moving up in the world which is the best summary of what most people, especially women, are like.

the orange monks little lecture about what death is, carrie coons last "friendship" speech, and everything between sam rockwell and goggins was gold.

i hope white lotus season 4 starts with a guest reading trip advisor reviews, "hotel is pretty nice but guests next door were murdered, 1 star" x500

most of the plot lines resolved pretty poorly but eh whatever its a travel porn show and as long as they don't go to some shithole location i'll keep watching, but only in binge mode. i think i'd hate the show if i waited week to week.

-Goggin's father just doesn't want him and is actually an asshole? I thought "oh, he's going to be his dad" then when they first met up he didn't pull that and I thought "okay, good." Then they fucking did it. And it was weird.
-Piper seemed like at worst at the Temple she was slightly discomfortable, but they just shifted her really hard to creature comforts excuse
-The Robbery had no implications for the people who did it. Gaitok got promoted for blasting Rick in the back instead. I guess it did give impetus for the security team getting a gun, but Valentin and crew had little impact being the ones who did it
-Greg just Gregged. Good luck with your weird future threesome.
-Lochlan jerked his brother off and pretty much had 0 character development. Out of the entire family Tim and Saxon were the only people who actually changed it seemed. Lochlan still stuck being a beta follower and Piper regressed into a princess
-Indian stress lady? What was her point? Just exposition for Rick? I thought she was going to be more important and be an outlet for a lot of the characters, but she was in like, 3? episodes really?

Felt like some shit was cut like the Posey/Bibb stuff. I think they wanted Posey to have more of a story rather than just being weird, but they had to make room for other stuff.

It's funny you say this about stuff being cut, cause we just watched the last episode and my wife said "how long do you think these episodes would be if they cut out all these extended transition scenes?"

I didn't pay all that much attention to them, but they had so many of them. They weren't really establishing shots, just random artsy stuff that really added up.

But yeah, weird season. I'm not sure starting it off with the shooting and knowing it's looming the whole time worked.

Allegedly they have a whole plot with Piper losing her virginity or something and that was shot and cut.

All of the seasons are structured this way.

I honestly barely remember any of the other seasons. I just know this one was very slow and really nothing happened.

The brothers storyline could've had some character development, but they decided to throw the incest shit in there which basically killed it.

Yeah I mean thats the formula.

Ep 1, someone gets murdered but you don't know who dies or who kills them.

Then they spend 8 or 10 episodes introducing ridiculous rich assholes you want to die, and people you can imagine killing them. So you spend the season hoping its this one or that one and waiting to see which one it is.

Its not a bad formula, cause even once you see the formula it still works.
