Yes, delirium tremens.Uhh isn't the "detox" for alcohol addiction the worst since you can actually die from the withdrawal?
Moral of the post? Never stop drinking.Yes, delirium tremens.
I've seen someone detoxing from pretty hardcore painkiller usage and it's scary. I've never seen alcohol DTs in person, but shaking, throwing up, running a fever, all that was involved.Uhh isn't the "detox" for alcohol addiction the worst since you can actually die from the withdrawal?
Alcohol is the only drug (that I know of) of where withdrawal can actually kill you, so still going with it being the worst.I've seen someone detoxing from pretty hardcore painkiller usage and it's scary. Benzodiazepines and alcohol are the two things that can kill you during withdrawal. Alcohol withdrawal is pretty fucked up, lol.Alcohol is the only drug (that I know of) of where withdrawal can actually kill you, so still going with it being the worst.
That would make you a quitter. And if there is one thing worse than a loser, it's a quitter.Moral of the post? Never stop drinking.
Yes, it is. Eventually alcoholics, like heroin users, don't even use it to get drunk--they use it just to feel normal. My grandfather was a huge alcoholic, he quit a few years before his death due to medical issues. He was fucked up for a couple weeks, really bad. Sweating, vomiting and the shakes (Like even when he was able to sleep, would shake himself awake); almost indistinguishable from a heroin withdraw for me, but I'm just a layman. He drank for years though, heavily.Alcohol isn't chemically addictive in the way heroin is though, right? And how long can alcohol withdrawal last?
