I think a lot of post Endgame criticism of MCU gets overblown.

I don't mean that post-Endgame MCU is good. I only mean that its not all equally bad. But the way people talk about it is like "omg I'm never watching it again this is all just complete garbage"

Theres fucking terrible (She Hulk, whatever that Falcon show was, anything Wakanda) and theres "bad but still worth seeing once on streaming" (Thor 4, DS2)

This looks like a watch it once on streaming. Who knows it could even have a few good surprises. Its got several very likable characters/actors. At worst it looks forgettable.

Part of it is that you've seen everything. They will have trouble adding new content because they've blown their wad with endgame.

There aren't any really good new heroes they can add to compete with the major stars. Big villains have been used. And you have to remember stuff like the first and second avengers made a lot of money but I wouldn't call them great films. Was age of ultron one of the best films of all time? No way. It was popular but not really something you are going to go back to and enjoy multiple times.

The build up to endgame was an incredible ride and the teasers at the end were a nice touch to get you excited for the next installment. But that gimmick is a little played out now. The new films don't have the same mystique and fall a little flat on their own merits. But so do a lot of the older films if you look at them in a vacuum. The avengers films were good, not great. And stuff like black panther and captain marvel are just trash propped up by all the hype at the time.

Dr Strange 2 was absolute fucking garbage.
Eternals was fucking garbage on fire.
If Thor 4 is as good as those 2 you can go fuck yourself in the closet with Hulk’s battle fists.

Have some respect for your time, you deserve better than that.

Hey to be fair I never said anything good about Eternals

DS2 had a few good moments and advanced the story from Wandavision, although it did nothing for DS story itself. Not a good movie, but among the top 3 post Endgame MCU movies without any doubt.

Thor 4 had some fun scenes, was pretty dumb overall.

Look, this was my whole point - there are degrees of bad and some of these are worth watching once if you're a comic book geek at all. I still think Thunderbolts looks like it falls in that category. We'll see.

Oh, sorry. So if it's impractical flippy kicks and thighs-around-the-neck-jumps, than it's ok for an 80 pound women to take out 15 trained security guards in under a minute? Punches was the problem. My bad.

I blanked out for a moment at ScarJo and "thighs around the neck".

Anyway this movie will probably be another forgettable bomb. At this point the only thing that'll get me back into MCU is the next Avengers movie out of curiosity, and it would need to be good enough to get me to care about the events leading into / out of it in order for me to really bother with anything else.

Couldn’t agree more. For me it’s Daredevil. Otherwise nothing is interesting at this point. Which sucks because I love Fantastic Four but even that movie isn’t intriguing.

I am genuinely interested in seeing what Daredevil turns out to be while acknowledging it won't come close to Season 1 of the Netflix show.

I think Thunderbolts will be an acceptable two hours of entertainment.

I am morbidly curious just how much vandalism Disney will do to their legacy characters with evil variants in Avengers: Doomsday.

That's it, that's the extent of my interest in the MCU, (again) coming from someone whose primary comics in my teen years were the Avengers and their spin-offs / related characters.

Loki was good shut the fuck up. S2 wasn't as good as S1 (S1 was fantastic) but it was still way better than most genre crap out there.
I wouldn't know. I haven't seen it and from what I've heard by most people is that it wasn't good, especially season 2. So, why would I waste my time for, at best, 1 mediocre season?

Sounds like you've been listening to retards.

Loki S1 was high tier MCU. If you're a comic book geek at all, if you ever liked MCU, Loki S1 is worth watching. For me it was worth watching twice.

Loki S2 had major issues but I'm still glad I watched it once.

Casting Majors to play this guy was the worst thing about Loki S1

Ok but why?

Why does anyone give a shit about the avengers? Who even makes up the fucking team now? The only thing we even know is rdj is coming back to play dr doom which is ultra fucking retarded on its face.

Its all the shitty temp off brand slop characters that can't even sell tickets for their solo movies why the fuck do you care about the team up?

Seriously, name the current avengers line up?

1. Captain African american
2. ?
3. ?
4. ?

We can assume i guess that the fantastic 4 are gonna time and universe jump into modern MCU cus Dr doom is so I guess they are gonna be in it? Avengers 5 is basically just a fantastic 4 sequel featuring captain gay black man.

Or maybe the * on thunderbolts is that they are actually the new fucking avengers team. Everything else has bombed there is no popular heros left for a team up so the suicide squad rip off team of half baked "misunderstood" villains are now the new fucking avengers.

Yeah, the Avengers isn't the Avenger's anymore. It's almost a 100% guarantee the next Avengers movie will flop. Maybe then they'll realize they fucked up. Which I doubt as well.

Got to laugh at Marvel trying to recreate the first time experience; its like watching Sony/MMO genre trying trying to redo Everquest for a lot of us. Pretty confident we'll never get the same vibe/experience because what we got with Avengers was historical. They keep keep trying to introduce new heroes hoping they stick like throwing spaghetti at the wall; to me at this point Marvel bought all in and they gotta play with what theyre dealt so until they finish the current agenda there's no real reason to get hyped really, maybe for the Doomsday movie 🤷‍♂️

Except of course they had to make Loki bi-sexual, and he also plays second fiddle to (you guessed it) a Female Loki.
