Anyone got an invite to a torrent site for general shit? I mostly download audiobooks, textbooks, music, occasionally porno (although mostly use redtube <3)? I'm not some crazy downloader, but I usually leave everything seeding.

Yeah I'll take one if you don't mind. I've been using TPB since demonoid shut down however long ago. Don't feel safe.

If anyone needs an invite to IPT, PM me your email address. I still have about 7 invites.

Are you guys using rTorrent or deluge with the Whatbox.ca plans for IPT? I'm looking to grab a plan tomorrow, and figure I'll go with whatever the consensus says.

Also, if anyone has a better alternative than IPT, I'd love to snag an invite.

Rtorrent for me. Really smooth integration and 1 click links to add to my box.

Does anyone have a comic book torrent site invite. I wanna relive a bit of my youth.

rTorrent here as well, I have started to really like the web UI. And the ability to add links Srathor mentioned, although for whatever reason it always gives an error, but still loads it (and says so somewhere, so they are completely aware of it). Sort of annoying, but works so whatever.

I have a few ComicBT invites that I'd be willing to let go for people that I actually recognize and can assure me they won't suck. Srathor apparently has a seedbox, so I can't say no to that. Send me a PM with your email (non-hotmail and such) and if I like you I might part with one. I don't have unlimited though so if I don't get you it isn't necessarily personal, I just might have run out already.

Deluge. Works great, easy to setup.

It is, but they don't offer it on seedboxes usually. You only have rTorrent and Deluge as options on our Whatboxes. Otherwise I'd be using uTorrent still too.

I'm not sure if it was uTorrent, but it's the only program I've installed recently and got a bunch of spy/bloatware crap on my PC right afterwards.

Got the Whatbox setup with rTorrent, and my dropbox directory synced to watchlist a folder for new torrents. I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do to get the files back to my NAS box at home, but I'll leave that for tomorrow. Thanks for the help everyone.

How did you get the Dropbox directory synced? Did you have to install it manually on the Whatbox? Because that's how I used to do it when my torrent box was at home and I was browsing at work, and that's natural and easier for me. I'm going to wait until I switch plans though because I don't know how much customization they would copy over, if any.

As far as getting it back home, someone a few pages back showed me a function on CuteFTP that synchronizes a folder on the remote box with a folder on your home computer, and I've been using it ever since. I have it check the directory every 30 minutes, and if the remote directory has changed in any way, it makes my local folder match it exactly (so if I delete a torrent, for example, it will delete it from my hard drive at home too, because I have already copied it to an appropriate directory or am just done with it).

If you can't figure it out from the post a few pages back, and want to use it, I can go into more detail later when I'm at home and can see the steps exactly instead of just guessing.

Does the whatbox rtorrent install have a 'watch' folder where you can upload .torrent files? If so, you could use the Wappwolf dropbox automator to set up automatic ftp uploads from your dropbox to your seedbox's 'watch' folder -http://wappwolf.com/dropboxautomator/.

I followed their Wiki:https://whatbox.ca/wiki/Dropbox- didn't take more than 10 minutes. (Skip the Changing folder location, symbolic links, unlinking/relinking accounts) Just did the Installation, and Post-Installation CLI
and excluded the folders with this: e.g. ~/dropbox.py exclude add ~/Dropbox/[directory]

I made a new folder called Torrents in my Dropbox, and then following that guide, I just excluded all my folders other than that, from syncing with the Whatbox. Whatever I want downloaded on there, I just drop in my Torrent folder, and it auto adds it, once I went into the ruTorrent webgui - settings - autotools - enable "autowatch" feature - and then pointed it at that directory.

I've got that CuteFTP sync page bookmarked - gonna try setting it up after lunch. I'll hit you up if I have any issues.

If you need a hand with the dropbox stuff, let me know.

Just curious, how do you guys have enough room in your dropbox to sync all your torrents to it? Do you pay for extra space? Luckily, I got a ton of extra space for purchasing various Samsung products (S4, Note tablet), so instead of just the 3GB you get by default, I currently have something like 51GB, but that runs out in a couple years and I'll be back down to 3GB, that isn't much space for storing video.

You sync the .torrent files, not the actual file you want to download. It auto-starts any .torrent put in the watch folder so you don't have to upload them to the seedbox manually to start the torrent.
