Sonarr works fine with torrents. Now I'm onto step 2 : something to automate my tv shows / anime / movie downloads. In the past I've used flexget + transmission, now I'm looking at something more user friendly but lightweight (I'm cpu bound at the moment).
I've been reading up about Sonarr but it looks mostly aimed at usenet not torrents (just like couchpatto, sickbeard and others I could find on google).
Netflix on a PC browser doesn't output Dolby Digital, you have to use the app. Is there a similar app for Amazon Prime that you can use for HD?I tried to watch media via "legit" means today. I figured, I have Prime already, might as well see what's on it. Oh hey, they have Vikings? I haven't seen season 3/4 yet, great! NOPE SORRY HD PLAYBACK IS DISABLED DUE TO HDCP restrictions. Okay maybe they just don't like Chrome. Nope, same in Firefox. IE and EDGE won't even load video on Prime. 15 minutes of dicking around with Silverlight plugins and different browsers and fuck it, back to stealing everything I go.
Good job there jackasses, once again piracy is quicker and move convenient for me in every way. At least Netflix works fine pretty much always? If only there were anything worth watching on it.
Every one of those now support torrents exactly the same as newsgroups. Now I'm onto step 2 : something to automate my tv shows / anime / movie downloads. In the past I've used flexget + transmission, now I'm looking at something more user friendly but lightweight (I'm cpu bound at the moment).

a_skeleton_03 and I even went into some pretty detailed explanation of how to set up Sonarr with torrents a few pages back. Pictures and everything!Every one of those now support torrents exactly the same as newsgroups.
Can't stress that enough. When you are following 15+ shows a week and want them in a specific quality, it really cuts down on the daily checking. And the joy of coming home from work and having everything ready to watch.a_skeleton_03 and I even went into some pretty detailed explanation of how to set up Sonarr with torrents a few pages back. I can't recommend Sonarr enough. I was skeptical that I really needed that extra automation, but a_skeleton_03 kept championing it, and I have to admit I've pretty much achieved maximum laziness now, and I owe it all to him.
I fully admit I am too lazy to set up Sonarr or whatever. Can't stress that enough. When you are following 15+ shows a week and want them in a specific quality, it really cuts down on the daily checking. And the joy of coming home from work and having everything ready to watch.
Just select the "Notify of New Uploads" option under the banner on each show you want to follow. You can go into the notification settings and select specific qualities as well to narrow it down. After you do that, it will show that you have new notifications at the top of the Home page whenever there is something new:I fully admit I am too lazy to set up Sonarr or whatever.
However, I wish BTN would just fix their broken Favorites. It's been like a year now that you can't add any shows. It was pretty simple before to just go to Favorites and it would list the last episode aired, as well as the next scheduled ep. Made it pretty simple without all the added complexity. No damn idea why they can't sort that shit out. Hell, old TVTorrents had a superior Favorites feature and that tracker was pretty low end in comparison to the rep of BTN.
Considering the work you do to set up the RSS feed on that site is the same amount of work (or less) on Sonarr.Assuming you won't just set up Sonarr, of course.
PM me your email addressCan anyone toss me an invite to ipt or whatever is good nowadays, I was inactive and my account got toasted lol. Thanks! Will give danetz!!!
