The problem for a lot of people will be suspending belief. After you only do comedy for a long time it is hard to be taken seriously.Vince Vaughn can do serious just fine I bet.
That woulddefinitelybe a good choice for the atmosphere of this show.I want to see Michael Shannon on a season of this show sometime after Boardwalk Empire ends.
Kneel before Cthulu! That woulddefinitelybe a good choice for the atmosphere of this show.
I can't recall the article(s) but I remember reading someone from HBO or somewhere else saying the scripts for season two are crazy goodIt could work...but the writing is going to have to be great, and Vaughn is going to have to dig deep in the well. I don't doubt that CF can pull off a worthy performance, but basically zero chance this comes anywhere near Season 1.
Blasphemy! In Bruges, Horrible Bosses, Tigerland, Seven Psychopaths, Fright Night, ect give me faith. He's just taken a lot of bad roles imh, even stuff like Minority Report, Recruit and most other movies he was fine, it wasnt his performance that ruin most of his moviesI have more confidence in Vince Vaughn than I do in Colin Farrell.
Vince Vaughan is going to be the best part of this new season. Calling it now.Have to agree with Astro. Vince Vaughn is fucking garbage.
Season one leads were both super solid actors who both had broad bodies of work.
Horrible choice.
really comes down to how the characters are written, obviously MM had more to work with than WoodyVince Vaughan is going to be the best part of this new season. Calling it now.
Yep. In fact, it's probably WHY they cast him. The whole arc looks like it's practically written for his character:Vince Vaughan is going to be the best part of this new season. Calling it now.
I'm fairly excited about the second season but I agree it's got a lot of shadow to crawl out of. I actually have more faith in HBO's casting directors than I do in their writers or producers. Think about it, HBO's casting has rarely failed. Even if the woman does in fact turn out to be Rachel McAdams, I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt.GQ_sl said:Vince Vaughn will appear as Frank Semyon, a career criminal trying to start up legitimate businesses whose plans are threatened by the murder of his partner in the enterprise.
