Don't taze me, bros, but I'll try to clarify why some people are saying this was slower than season 1, and some people saying it was too fast, ect.
Season 1 was paced very methodically, but right from the start the story was underway and progressing. So the pace was slow, but deliberate, fitting in with the style of the narrative and setting, and still making steady story progress.
Season 2 opener had a lot of shit going on and some felt it was disjointed and skipping around too much, too quickly, trying to establish too many things too fast, thus was a bit frenetic, but the actual story didn't really start until right at the end of the episode, so it felt frenetic from an informational standpoint, but slow from a story progression/building standpoint.
It's like that friend who is hyper as shit and trying to tell a story and keep mention this and oh yeah I forgot that and remember so and so and adding in random details... and at some point you realize they're telling you a lot of things, but meanwhile very slowly telling you what actually happened.
So, yeah, some feel season 2 was rushed and frenetic, but also developed slow as shit. Because information and set-up scenes and action was all fast and furious, but the actual story that we kinda think may be developing was practically a no-show.
