It's more than just hating a game, it's mostly their reputation on the line. No one wants to be the guy streaming some cancer mobile p2w game, no matter much cash they are throwing at you.

He's been going off about that video for like 30 minutes now. Basically he's saying it's hilarious people are saying that guy is a "hero" and "brave" for saying this shit. Also he said that basically anyone who does anything sponsored is basically saying they just want money and it's on the streamer to prove otherwise.

Streamers have a vested interested in making people think they dont make much money. Autistics are less likely to "donate" money to them if they find out they are pulling in half a million a year without any donations. I dont get it, why people donate to obnoxious cunts pulling down tens of thousands of dollars a month.

I don't care what you say, to be a successful streamer means actually being top 0.01% at a game, but this only gets you 1/2way. You then need some personality, a little luck, and some business smarts.

Once you've "made it" you can then leverage your popularity and be a variety streamer or whatever.
But basically this means 99.9% of the population will never make it streaming. And any sob stories about trying to stream and it ruining your life are your own damn fault for not realizing you actually need some skill to "make it".... and a little luck, and some personality.

This guy's youtube vid pissed me off:

Let's say you pull in 10K a month from all revenue streams. 120K / year. Along comes a game that you already love streaming, saying, "Hey, we'll give you 5K per hour that you stream our game." I mean, the right thing to say is, "Well, I'm playing your game already, I'm making enough money... So take your money and stuff it."

I just wonder how much of this is self aggrandizement and how much is self promotion. And how big of sycophants those fucks at all the ad companies really are.

??? How the hell is that the right thing to do. That's the retarded idiot thing to do. You're giving them free advertising, why the hell would you turn away the money if it was offered?

Ya, get best of both worlds. Good example: Call of Duty: Blackout. Activision paid tons of streamers to play the game. After the sponsorship was done, so many streamers liked it they continued to play the fuck out of it.

You guys have the wrong idea though, the games they turn down are all super awful P2W mobile games or Chinese knockoffs and shit

GrandGrant talked about it before on being offered to do really shitty mobile games

Of course people are going to accept CoD and battlefield sponsorships lol

While there is no way to actually measure or gauge, and not that you would want to if you could but I am willing to bet $10,000 cash money that more loads have been blown over streamers like Pokimane or Peach than your average whore on Pornhub. Any takers?

I wouldn't be surprised, poki has 2.1m followers on her instagram (god i have no idea why, other than her looks). She must have a lot of thirsty teenagers as followers i guess lol. Her content sucks, her offline tv house sucks.

Pokimane is an anomaly to me, where does she get her popularity when everything about her other than her face is extremely underwhelming and boring content? lol

STPeach definitely has a billion hog squeezers for sure haha

Meh, she calls everything that she doesn't like trolling, just like most millennials do. Therefore, she's 'da bomb to them. Either that or a hater. I dunno man, I can't keep up.

I don't even think Poki is that attractive. I also feel like she comes off as extremely fake. I think she's probably very intelligent and just realizes how much money there is here and is taking advantage of it

This pretty much. I find Poki to be very hot, but she's pretty bland personality wise. She comes off as very sanitized which is basically the entire offline tv business model.

I feel like sanitized IS twitch...you either play safe or you go risky and big bucks and HOPE that it doesn't get you banned before you make it "big".

That's true, but they seem to go over the top with it and try and side with the "correct" side on every SJW issue.

Meh, every time they do that, one more person debates switch platforms.

Only so many more times you can do that before someone straight-up copies all of your style and pushes a decentralized streaming service or some other catchy NorCal Tech buzzword.

Who knows, maybe more places will pull a "China" and outright ban the platform all together.
