Vancouver might be the most diverse city I have been in. And by diverse I actually mean diverse and not black. Never seen this many Japanese outside of Disney World (and never having been to Japan).
And wtf is serving a salad with breakfast? Speaking of breakfast, Japanese owned waffle place did eggs Benedict with bacon on a Belgian waffle with these odd redskin potatoes that were almost like mashed potatoes inside.
Odd, but overall fucking tasty meal. Baked their bread on location too.
City just oozes liberal-ness. People carrying their yoga mats around, bike share everywhere, and speaking of bikes, fucking bikes all over the place.
Weather is perfect today, no clouds and 60 degrees. Everyone seems quite nice and friendly. And thank God for credit cards with no international fees so I can swipe without dealing with currency and exchange rate. US dollar being stronger than CA dollar gives me a wood with each purchase. Shit seems like the same price as the US but I am saving about 25-30% on the exchange rate.
