Why is it that VR does porn the best? Also, I went to pornhub to try their virtual reality section. Bad idea. There was so much lag that I've been nauseated a little for the last 48 hours.

I don't have the driver it wants, and it won't let me pass the install part unless I have it. Only the driver wont install on my ASUS G75 laptop from two years ago.

Oh well, it's a moot point. My Rift ready PC that was supposed to be here on Monday arrived while I was interviewing someone.

Looks like they're just trying to grab the cash they can before their market share tanks. All the recent reviews favor the Vive, with the Rift only getting the "well it is a bit cheaper" booby prize.

Pretty much why I went Oculus for my first VR experience. That and I don't like the "teleport" to move mechanic in a lot of the Vive games.

I think the point is most people don't cite a review saying the seated is better (which is probably more of a comfort vs number of games for that specific experience on that platform - seated works just fine) and instead reference room requirements as the reason to get a Rift over a Vive.

Well the thing arrived, but god help me I can't get the thing to recognize on my system. I've done almost everything I can think, driver updates et al. My machine will not recognize it.

its probably the USB ports, its extremely finicky about it - i assume its rift, not vive. You may have to buy a PCI-e usb3 card.

this dude is playing dark souls 3 on rift, kinda trippy to watch

Install, or recognize? If you are having an install error, it's Mcafee. It took me an hour to install.

Having a Samsung VR, the graphics are not better, but it's smoother.

Updated to correct firmware 1.4.0.224375, it now recognizes the sensor but nothing else. If I swap my headset cable to the known working port (the sensor works on it) it will not recognize the headset. (Even the HDMI is not recognizing). Not Mcaffee

Their support looks pathetic, Ticket system only with no way to talk to someone. My system isn't specd for VR but would like to at least attempt it anyway.
