i have a rift too, altho haven't turned it on in six months. first, its a pain in the ass to setup with all its cables (it requires a fuckton of USB ports) so set aside 2-3 hours for that shit, plus all the sensor stuff and calibrating.
second, almost everything on the rift store is ALSO on the steam store and your preference should be the latter, just because usually its split bases for MP games plus in the future if you move to a different VR platform it'd still work on steam whereas oculus store will always be rift. I only buy stuff on the oculus store if its oculus exclusive
i never really found a game on oculus that really wowed me but yeah stuff like beat saber, elite dangerous, etc are fine. also be careful with porn, it takes a while to fiddle around with the player settings to make things look halfway decent but also most VR porn tends to be "holy shit this giant woman is showing me her pussy, this is scary as fuck".
VRChat is really fun and virtual desktop is great, lets you run pretty much anything inside the headset
