Rain snopped and snowing now finally. I-10 closed and I assume all bridges in the area since it rained hard at 25 most of the night. Spillway on I-10 had a 14 car pile up, which is about average there even without ice.
Flipped on the TV for a second. Some talking head was asking why they don't salt the roads and use snow plows to just clear it all. Umm yeah we stockpile those to break out every 20-30 years.

i have cases of bai coconut water
so i just leave it in the garage, hell i even leave kimchi out there, it's colder than the fridge (recommended fridge temp is 40f or less and freezer should b 0f, i'm also a stickler for food safety and have temp probes in there)
anyway so i grab a bai water and throw it at my wife, my wife is a clumsy girl, so of course i never say "catch" or "here watch out" i just chuck it in her direction or on her body. this time i aimed for her arm and she was like "OUCH!" and i'm like "what?", and shes like "it's frozen!!!" so i pull up my phone and it's -10f, which means everything in the garage is also -10f lulz.
i don't think i said sorry cuz valentines day is over anyway

Yeah, NJ forecast for the next week is upper 30s to to mid 40s. That fucking groundhog is full of shit, man.

Its a bit more complicated than that. The small ones for pick-ups are electric and once you install the system once, you just disconnect the plugs and leave the plow blade put in the garage until you need it. You just drive up to it, lock it in place, plug it in and you are good to go. The bigger municiple ones like you see on garbage trucks and the like are an entirely different animal.
Anyone with a plow in Tx right now is making a fortune and has paid for that plow 100x over already.
edit: oh and of course you have the challenge of not having signs everywhere telling you of upcoming road changes and the need to raise the plow .

If you aren't familiar, check their paws for little bits of ice stuck up between their toe pads. It will annoy them and lead them to chew their toe pads.

Texas people will have the priviliges of us northerners. They get to experience a half a foot of snow on ground, but their cars getting slammed with 2 feet of snow due to the plows. And of course you cant push that snow back on the middle of the road.
