2 chicken breasts boiled, salted/peppered after
Hah, I was about to reply "Me too!" then I noticed boiled. What the fuck man. I should film my process so you can see how fucking easy it is. I brush the two chicken breasts with some coconut oil, sprinkle some of my spice blend on them, throw them on a really hot pan for 2-3 minutes each side then into the oven at 450 they go until they come up to temp (165). Obviously boiling is easier but holy fuck how do you not want to off yourself...

That said, my sex drive really goes away when I'm purposefully cutting my calories. It really kills me drive/motivation as compared to when I'm just eating whatever comes naturally to me (a calorie surplus). Maybe I'm cutting too much, but my progres is slow, which tells me I'm not... Just wish I could get to a level where I could be happy to maintain sooner.
You're gonna have to come up with some long-term solution that makes sense. If you're miserable now at a 500 calorie deficit, you honestly aren't going to feel that much better at maintenence. 500 calories is nothing and you built up a long habit of gorging yourself with zero regard. Have you looked into IF? I realized that I enjoy eating massive meals, and I really like fasting -- squeezing x calories into 12pm-8pm is much much more satisfying to me than 6am-8pm. If you're doing, for example, 2000 calories a day... eating one 1000 calorie meal at noon and another in the evening might cheer you up.

tldr; you aren't going to ever be "happy to maintain" if what makes you happy is gutbombing 1000 calories of McDonalds before 8 am.

Maybe if you pounded it out to maximize browning. Maybe. You probably still need a sauce/spice rub/marinate if we're taking just the breast.

My lunch today; total prep time 5 minutes, total eat time roughly the same. Chicken Thighs are like $1/lb in GA -- total cost of batch counting all ingredients is probably $1.50.

Put 4 chicken thighs in slow-cooker. Mix up 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup honey... optional: chopped garlic or garlic powder, basil. Pour mixture over thighs.

Is that some kind of play on a Chicken Katsu? Looks pretty decent.

Also fuck you for not putting that in the cooking thread and making me come in here to check it out.

When I was being super healthy I would just use a George Foreman grill and cook the chicken breasts.
I was rather skeptical at first, but a guy I work with turned me on to the NuWave cooker thing (uses convection heat in a big plastic dome) and it really does cook chicken breasts (and a lot of other things) easily and well. I always had an issue with the George Foreman if they weren't a uniform thickness, but this thing works great no matter what shape the chicken. Way easier to clean too. It is one of those "as seen on TV" things but I bought it from Amazon with Prime shipping.

Dood says lift, eat well, get good sleep, and take supplements... the most effective of which is the one he's selling! Why do you link this crap?

You're right, I probably don't get enough fat in my diet, while dieting... I try to keep my protein intake up, but protein shakes don't have a lot of fat in them, so I think most of my diet turns into just carbs and proteins (I do eat meat at least one, sometimes 2 meals a day, or sometimes eggs for breakfast but 2 eggs don't exactly have a "lot" of fat)... and then when I'm not paying attention to my diet I'll tend to eat more greasy/oily junk foods. I'll try to add more sunflower seeds/peanuts into my diet and up my cardio to compensate for the extra calories.

Peanuts aren't technically a nut, they're a legume. Better nuts to eat, cashews, macadamias, brazils etc. Have a handful at breakfast. Avocado also nice

While it is not a lot of fat, you could add Flaxseed to your shakes. I put a couple of tbsp into my shakes after workout because it has a nice fat / protein / fiber profile.

Edit: Ground Flaxseed.

So I stopped drinking soda (except when I go out to eat) completely a couple months ago. I fell off the horse multiple times, but for a solid 2 months I'd say I haven't been drinking any soda. I also cut out my bedtime snack - it was usually ice cream or something. Sometimes I get hungry and might have some chips, but generally speaking I am not eating before bed.

Went on the scale for the first time in a long time and I have lost 20 pounds.

What the fuck. I'm not even working out right now.

You must have been overeating by a lot. A bedtime "snack" of ice cream would definitely imply that. I'm assuming you had that on top of dessert?
