Guess telling Chet Atkins to stick it and going to the Armadillo in Austin was good for your looks a few years later lol. Outlaw country morphed over the years but originally it was "outlaw" because they were doing it their way outside of the big music labels.

Robert Hunter. He was the lyricist behind most Garcia-penned music. I am a sucker for a song. I remember my Mom singing this tune as she was cleaning the house one day. She hated rock n roll. lol. RIP Robert.
