Ugh, soooooo 2020. Corolla GR will be the new status.

That thing is going to be so retarded expensive because it's new and inflation/shortages are going to make it worse. I'll be shocked if MSRP is under 45k and I bet they'll be closer to 60k like they did when the Type R came out.

I was trying to wait but it's unrealistic for me even at 45k.

I'm mostly teasing. But yes fucking thing sucks. Dealers trying to get 40k for mavericks. Cheap 86 GR for way over. Used market of course bananas.

I think the only going for me in like a year is 400z may push down 370 prices to where i can get one for a mildly peppy daily.

You're both right. Prices for everything are ridiculous right now, new and used. There are no deals and the days of 10-12% off sticker may not come back for another year or two. Every time I look for something I see 20-50% (yes, 50 percent) markups on "used" cars with 100 miles. Flippers and dealers all playing games.

Any other electric car owners here? Bought my model S at the perfect time, when the price was changed to 69 420 as a meme. Now that shit is back up to 89k, and for some reason less(?) range. Also autopilot is pricier, but it's mostly hot garbage at any price. Don't get me wrong, I love everything else about the car, but they reheally over-sold autopilot as almost ready for prime time. It's ready, if it was meant to be HAL and kill me...

Reading how hard it is to buy a new or even used car has me paranoid. All it takes is one lady on her phone rear-ending me and I'm out a car for a month :*(

No dealer markups on mine luckily, but I fully expect some fuckery when the time comes. Alot of the other dealerships in the area have 5k markups with "Appearance" packages which are just the factory wheels powdercoated a different color.

The Yaris GR is 45k Euros/British Pounds or whatever, so I fully expect it to be unreasonable here. Also screw getting a 1st gen of that here, it will probably have problems and take forever to fix.

Dealerships out here have like 10 cars in the lot and anything used is bought up instantly over new cars. Fuck Biden.

Oh hey, my personal stalker is here, and projecting pedophilia again! I'm sorry that you've failed to launch in life, and are lashing out at people for being successful. Better luck next go around ;)

I put a deposit down on a 2022 Veloster N, it won't be delivered until early February. See how it goes.
I'm bouncing between an Elantra N, Kona N or a used Stinger. Right now the trade in on my Elantra GT Sport is stupid good.

If only the US got the i30 N, instead of the ugly sedan.

How has the battery held up after that time? 1 year for me, it went from 402 to 399 range or so at full charge. The average seems to be about 1% loss every year or 20,000 miles.

I actually want the i20N, really bummed it wouldn't make it here. Stinger would be my lowest choice.

Kona N would be my second only because I don't like the front of the Elantra, the exhaust on the N really sold it for me. It is a fun car to drive. I was debating on the GR86, Miata RF and the Veloster N. Not having to do anything to the N in order to get some happy sounds made it the top choice for me.

I ordered an outback turbo. I was hoping they’d have a nice looking WRX hatchback since this will be the last fully gasoline model but they didn’t. No hatchback at all and the design is pretty boring again. Not that the outback design is exciting but I want a quick car for once, and the larger size will be nice. Our small cars always feel crammed when we’re all in it, going to soccer games and shit.

I’m still not 100% sure I’ll keep the order but I’ve had my Impreza 10 years now and it’s loud, small, radio sucks, no backup camera, etc. I don’t want a car payment again but I’m thinking now may be the best time to pull the trigger before inflation hits hard, and they’re still giving really high trade in value on old clunkers.

I mainly use the mobile charger with the 15-40 adapter. I'm at 60000 Km(37k miles) and last summer when I tested my range was higher than what was advertised. 530(330 miles) km usually and I was at 552 km(342 miles).

I was using tezlab. My guess is that my relative slow charge rate help protecting my battery. Also my car is plugged 95% of the time when parked.

With the winter in Canada right now it's hard to test.

Saw what I thought was a reasonably priced new 2022 Genesis G70. Took a closer look and the sticker was asking $7000 over MSRP. Well nevermind.

You won't regret the Stinger at all. It's my daily driver and I fucking love it. Blows the equivalent BMW and Audis out of the water, especially on the reliability end, to say nothing of the performance. You're just paying an extra premium to not have KIA badging by going with a BMW, Audi, or Mercedes. I'm not a big fan of the "styling" updates on the 2021 models though and I'm fucking pissed that KIA is probably ending its production in favor of the EV6 as their new "performance" model.
