'09 Matrix with 0 features. It's an annoying car to drive and I often miss my '89 corolla wagon lol.

It's also the worst car for seeing around you. I'm used to it now, but whenever I drive another car it reminds me of how bad the Matrix frame is.

I had a 2012 Dodge Avenger rental when out of town earlier in the month and it was absolutely horrible. I just don't understand how engineers can build a car get in it after it's done and be like "yes! We have outdone ourselves this time!". I refuse to believe the engineers are that bad.

it honestly was one of the last "dodge" fully produced cars, it was an attempt to re-popularize the name branding and hoped it would sell on name alone... its a big red flag of why Fiat has had to take dodges hand and turn them around and show them the way. The new avenger is not even in the same type of 'class' as the old ones?

Do you guys think it's a case of the "good ole boy" syndrome of people working there forever or do they just not have a clue? Ford seems to have figured it out aside from being morons and not bring the Focus RS to the US as well as making the Focus/Fiesta ST only a 5 door in the states, but at least they are moving in the right direction.

American car makers had no clue for decades and made complete shit nearly 100% of the time. They thought they could churn out those turds and people would buy them without questioning the absolutely horrible materials, god-awful styling, and poor performance/reliability (very, few exceptions). Or - and this is what I believe - the car makers knew the cars were complete shit and did it anyway. In time, Asia and Europe handed them their asses and the bounce-back of the last few years is the result. Funny and tragic at the same time.

Finally got a new-ish car (demo unit, optima hybrid) as my old volvo died completely.
It's still at the dealer getting it's checks/cleaned, so some pics from there.

I've read it's quite common in the US, though I've never seen this model on the roads before in the Netherlands.
(Most people go for the German brands over here).

German and french, although toyota is the biggest seller in the netherlands i believe.
please don't turn into a holier than thou green person who absolutely HAS to tell people to drive hybrids. Although it does give some pretty hilarious conversations when they see me pull up in my car and try to convert me to the greener side of driving, because my car is way too bad for the environment....and the stares i get when i tell them i agree and do hope everyone will drive electric/hybrid soon......so there will be more gas left for me.

If only there were shops that sold non-RFT's that still fit on your car...

I guess we can dream.
I have an e92 with RFTs. I agree that they are crap, but at least with my car (coupe) there's basically no room at all for a spare unless I want it to take up the entire trunk. Murphy's Law would dictate that as soon as I switched, I'd end up waiting for a tow truck within a week.

I got 60k out of the first set though, but my driving is 99% highway. (My commute is almost 50 miles each way, FML)
