I remember a while back trying to look something up on the Hennessy website and accidentally misclicked the year for date of birth and being subsequently blocked. Made the whole ordeal 10x as annoying as I had to go clear cookies and other bullshit to be able to enter a valid year.

If you think this first sentence...

... is the same as this sentence...

"If you were wearing THAT outfit out to the clubs then you must have wanted to get raped."

Actually I'm pretty sure the age "verification" for brewery/alcohol related websites is required by the TTB.

And yes, it is dumb. When I was 15 never once did I get to a porn site and say "aw shucks, it says I have to be 18 and I don't want the internet police to backtrace my birthday. Guess I am wanking to cinemax static again."

Oh man can I relate to that. I remember a conversation I had a few years back with a neo-nazifeminist. We have a pretty wild weekend night-life where I live. I don't much go in for it but have been down town a few times. Now I'm a man and I don't drink but I've still been attacked once by some person who was most likely high on coke or something, just because I happened to walk too close to him. I was saying you need to be careful when you go down town cos it's full of people drunk or high out of their minds. But oh, no! She saw it as her divine right to be able to waltz on down town with her feminist friends, drink and party til she passed out and do whatever the fuck she wanted to do and ifanythingbad happened to her or her friends it was all becausemencouldn't restrain themselves.

That was an eye-opener for me as I realised that much of this bullcrap they sprout is actually them saying they should be able to do whatever they want, wherever they want, and however they want without consequences, and simply using common sense and looking out for yourself in a dangerous world is an affront to them and their ideology. They're just spoiled brats.
