My ex's cousin's estranged marriage. We finally ended up good friends after eight years by going through the same thing at the same time and supporting each other. Staying with her parents atm and that whole family is fucked. Her legit crazy mom went off over something stupid and TL/DR quit the job you just got or take your 2 year old and be homeless. So she messages really upset. Talks about how she might just have to move back in with estranged husband. Spirals down from there until we got to the I know where the gun is and I know where the bullets are. She's not like that and there's a different between I want to die/kill myself and I'm going to kill myself with this near to hand weapon. Stops responding right after. Call, call, call no joy. Call ex to have her call her cousins parents no joy. Ex texts me after a minute and says wtf I'm sleeping (she can go fuck herself but we talk, had lunch yesterday actually not gonna turn down free food). Tell her, send her screen caps of the convo, and she says wtf you want me to do. Take a couple seconds away from being terrified to be pretty fucking rustled then tell her to give me a number. No joy there either.
Wind up calling the cops from 8 states away for a welfare check. She messages me after they leave and I get her calmed down some more. Not even mad at me amazingly enough. Her parents were but fuck them. It would be awesome if I could avoid being involved in a third suicide threat/attempt thing this year though. Think twice is my limit. #3 is just gonna have to off themselves.
All jokes aside though there was good reason to take it seriously I'm just too exhausted and even this version is too long. My own situation is all kinds of fucked. Her's is 5-10x worse.
