I just got an email with my 'real' name and address and phone number claiming they had hacked my gibson and had all teh dirt on me, so I better deposit 1/32 of a bitcoin in their wallet within 24 hours. It was a very threatening email and didn't have the typical nigerian prince typoes and grammatical errors. Made me want to shoot someone in the fucking face. Took me a few minutes to consider everything they had and realize they must have hacked someone I bought something from.
This has been going around the past few months. Ive gotten 2-3 myself. One even had a google maps picture of my house.

A little annoying whoever was able to tie my real name, address and phone number back to my email.

It's not even hackers sometimes, there's companies that do nothing but scrape publicly available data from phone books, government records and social media to build up databases of names/addresses which they then sell on to mass marketing companies. EU cracked down on that business model hard a few years ago and the scam texts/calls/junk mail have mostly disappeared. Think I got a grand total of two scam texts this year, boggles me to read that some people in the US get dozens a day.

Yeah but this email address isn't public. When I look up my own name, they never have my correct address or number. The closest they have is a PO box I had 20+ years ago. I get those spam texts and calls you're talking about too but they always have the wrong name and address. Hello is this Juanita? no. nooo. miss no here.

It was probably an online retailer getting hacked.

I took my daughter to jiujitsu last week. Been thinking about signing up for the beginner class myself, too.

Last night when I got out of the shower, I did the Ole helicopter dick move to my wife and got a really sharp pain in my right abdomen mid-flap. Had to lay down for 10 minutes after while she almost pissed her pants laughing.

No idea if that means I probably should or probably should not do jiujitsu

Furnace fighting continues. After the third visit, they've determined that the way the flue was installed by my builder is fucked up and it's just pushing water back into the furnace. Might be bullshit, but then again my builder is shit, so I wouldn't be surprised, either. Threw a warranty request on it and we'll see if they tell me to fuck off. Until then, though, I have to go downstairs every 30-60min and drain the inducer. Fun times!

Jui jitsu can definitely teach you to do the helicopter dick move safely. But it won't be a beginner lesson.

Just got an old fashioned snail mail letter from my insurance company (that has no problem emailing renewal notices) that they are discontinuing all insurance in the state effective immediately. Our fucking insurance expires on the 26th of this month. Now I have to shop out again. FYI I've had them since we moved to this state a decade ago and shopped them out every 6 months with them being 100's less. I guess now I know why. No profit = leave.
They were my same agent for homeowners , but through a different company. I hope they don't move out too.

I made it almost 2 years showing expired tags once. Car was registered, just decided to see how long I could go.

The tripled the registration fee for EVs here in VA. And I believe we have the highest car property tax too. 1700$ for the newest Tesla annually, and even 600$ for the 7 year old one. Fun!

Every new highway or expansion here is in bed with EZ-pass, while the plebs are stuck in traffic, so who the fuck knows where all that money goes. I'm thinking of taking out the EZ pass CEO next! /jk

These days, I bet the license plate scanners instantly know registration status regardless of the stickers.

Did you get stopped after 2 years, or just lose your nerve?

wait, what the fuck is that? Is that an EZtag violation? Total due $1. But the combat violent crimes charge is nice.
