I was vacuuming and my elbow hit the wall and a cabinet of my mom's knick-knacks fell off the wall (where I had poorly mounted it because my stud finder sucks[insert stud finder joke]) and it hit my head and my back and broke a ton of shit.

Yeah, that was a fucking great Monday.
My son pulled a corner cabinet over on top of himself when he was 2. Like decorative plates and shit literally broke on his head. He cried for 2 minutes then started playing in debris.

Went to the clerk of courts office to apply for a visa since I'm traveling to mexico and they don't take cards or cash, only check or money order. Any fucking place requiring payment, in the year 2015, and you can't pay with a card go can fuck itself.

When I bought my townhouse, they didn't get my car tags to the security team and thus it got towed the second night. I discovered that same thing from the tow-lot, had to take a taxi there, back to a bank, then back there because nope can't take a debit card.

They can indeed go fuck themselves.

Any business that is large enough to have employees and deals only in cash = shady as fuck. They're probably not paying taxes at the very least.

Id avoid doing any business with them If at all possible

Of course, seems like a ton of government services are like that too

Places that deal with a lot of people that write hot checks and use stolen cards like getting a car out of impound.

Government agencies are fucked no matter what when it comes to accepting credit card payments. They typically aren't going to eat the service fees associated with paying on a card as that cuts into fees/fines that have been voted into law for very specific budgetary reasons. Most business just raise the price of goods for everyone to compensate, but good luck trying to do that as a government agency as that wouldn't go over well with anyone. So, you're left with a service fee to run a card that the customer has to pay themselves, which of course is a huge source of rustlement from dumb fucks who don't understand that's literally how much it costs to run their card and the local county auditor isn't just collecting extra money for a pizza party just to punish people for using their cards.

I guess having people complain about paying their own processing fee to run their I-didn't-think-to-think-ahead card is the lesser evil, though.

Meanwhile plenty of private businesses quietly raise their prices to account for processing fees. So, next time you happen to have cash or check? Thanks for helping pay for that customer behind you who can't understand that it costs money to use their credit card and bitched bitch about the fees to the extent the business figured they'd just gouge everyone instead of deal with it anymore.

Stores that require a minimum amount to pay with a card. Especially places like Lee's Sandwiches where I just want a taro or jackfruit smoothie that costs like 4 bucks but minimum to use card is 15. Such bullshit.

You gotta count the cash, go to the bank, etc...that all costs labor.
For checks, 1 bounced check can wipe out a whole months worth of credit card fees that you've saved.

The search function on these forums. I've never seen a more useless piece of shit in my life.

Want to search for posts containing a word? Well, here's a list of every thread that contains a post with that word.
What? You actually want to see the posts in the search result and not just a list of threads? Fuck you and your grandmother.

Goddamn non-uniform websites & forms that I have to use at work.

We deal with a lot of customer personal info, so I end up typing birthdates and social security numbers a lot into various documents and forms.

All of our companies computer systems seem to be completely random as to whether they auto-fill the dashes/slashes in a DOB/SS#

One form you type 10211980, and the system gives you an error because you didn't type the "/" as 10/21/1980. Then you'll use another form and start typing 10 /... and then it auto-fills another slash in, so you end up with 10//21//1980 when you type real fast, and get another error on the form so you can't submit it.

GODDAMNIT PEOPLE, USE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. I swear to god I run in to this at least a dozen times per day. Makes me want to hulk-smash my keyboard.

Logging in to some customers site that requires a 25 letter password and a 50 character job ID that doens't allow cut and paste.
