I have never, ever had the need or desire to use a single app on my 'smart' tv until the girlfriend wanted to watch SNL free on Hulu on the tv instead of getting the laptop and hooking it up. Should be easy, right. Expensive ass 'smart' tv should let me do this, right? It should be my right as an American consumer, right? Nope. The app requires you to pay for a fucking subscription (or start a free trial) even if you already have an account. So I use the web browser, navigate to Hulu, log into my non-paid account, search for SNL, all of which takes forever because I'm using the remote. They're sorry, playing videos isn't supported on the device. Curious, because moments later I was playing Youtube and random shit on the internet just fine just to see how much Hulu were just being cock suckers. Answer: very. Very cock suckers!

Smart TVs are quite possibly the most worthless feature in the world. They should just have a hdmi/usb port that interfaces with an attacheable cellphone or something like the intel compute stick or firestick and let that handle smart tv functionality. But like most bullshit in the world its very easy to charge extra for this "premium" feature.

I did a photo scavenger hunt today and the hosting team just stayed at home and took a 30-40 minute chuck out of there time by taking pictures with stuff around there house. Then they lied to the other teams and told them it ended at 3:00pm instead of 3:30 so we would go back to the house and waste time. Then when they won they gloated like they won the world series. Nearly a week ago, I ordered something online. I was not in a hurry so I did not pay extra to have it shipped overnight, two days, etc. The day after I ordered the item, the company sends me an e-mail with a tracking number. Their web site states the item has left and is in transit to the shipper.
As of this writing, the item is "still in transit to the shipper". So I decide to look up the shipper and see what is going on. Their web site states the company I purchased the item from notified the shipper that they will eventually have an item to ship but no confirmed date to pick it up for shipping!

That's how the electoral college was intended to work. It's currently 538 people who are elected to vote for the president of the united states. While a few states always used the popular vote to determine their electors for most they were appointed by state legislators. it wasn't until after the civil war when virtually all states swapped and let the people vote for electors.
The idea is each state decides how they will elect their electors, but those people are the only ones who actually vote. They were intended to meet up, sit and argue and figure shit out until they reach a majority consensus on the president, and then that person becomes president.
However over time more and more states keep passing laws requiring their electors to vote for whoever won that state's popular vote, winner take all fashion (also, a few states award votes by district so that they split their electors instead of winner take all). There is no federal law requiring electors to vote for whoever their state wants them to, or to even cast a vote at all, regardless of what they promised they would do. States however can punish them, but generally they just get shit on by the party they were supposed to represent.
