this thread might be useful in the future...
but a few quick ones:
-peoples' obsession with "reality" TV
-the fact how there are about 8 different CSI-type shows on TV, which are all basically the same thing
-how i'm not allowed within 500 feet of any Chuck E. Cheese's anymore
-when it comes to writing academic papers, you are basically not allowed to have any thoughts of your own, only citations of other works
-that most people will have quickly figured out that my 3rd one is actually fake, making me seem unwitty
-group projects

Planetside 2 Edition:
20 people online when I log into TS and join the platoon- 30 mins later we run into enemy zerg and suddenly are left with 6 sad fuckers trying to fight off a continent full of purple/yellow douche zergs.
Epic dogfighting for an hour in my mosquito, outnumbered and outgunned but surviving for an hour- then explode ignominiously as a friendly pilot flies into me full speed.
50 TR sitting and farming a biolab for kills/certs while the NC retake the entire continent
DayZ Edition:
Having to play on public servers when admins change their server over to some shitty new mod and erase all your gear/camps/vehicles.
2 hours of ninja stealthing around for a perfect sniper spot ruined when I get teleported and killed by some faggot 12 year old script kiddie screaming over his microphone at me. All my jimmies rustled completely off by this one.
Having the standalone and better hack prevention delayed for months while the developer spends time on shit like upgraded clothing systems and putting dogs in the game.
Job search edition:
Getting beaten out by middle aged ladies with associates' degrees in randomfuckerry for legal assistant/law clerk jobs (when I'm a law school grad with years of experience working in a law firm) while I'm waiting to take the bar.
Job search/application websites in general- literally hundreds of applications in various fields- only responses are from stolen goods/payment processing scams or independent contractor insurance sales bots that troll job search sites.
Headhunting agencies with open positions in their company that never respond when you inquire about the position with them.
Positions posted by companies/government agencies with no intention to fill with an external candidate- but because of hiring practices/procedures being strung along with an "interview process" that takes months to inform you "a suitable internal candidate has been found"
Being turned down for shit jobs for being "overqualified"

The bar only is offered twice a year, in July and February, and for most states is stretched over two days of 8-10 hour testing periods. Additionally, the application process takes forever, and there are any number of issues which can delay your application or even prevent you from sitting for the test. It's also expensive, easily exceeding $1k in most states for various app fees and registration charges (not counting $$$ for a bar study course).
Finally, even after you've taken the bar, it takes upward of three months for many places to get test results back- which I'm guessing is a product of thousands of 10-20 page legal essays that need to be graded.
regarding st. patrick's day...one thing that always pissed me right the fuck off is this...

nightclubs...ok...that's fine...not really my scene anyway...but bars, fuck that...i'm not going to pay 5 or 10 dollars to get into a BAR because it's Friday, or a big holiday so i can stand shoulder to shoulder in a packed room, bathing in other people's expiration, where i can't hear shit, and can't get any drinks until i battle my way to the counter...and when i do, i find out that their drink rates areat leastdoubled than on any other regular day...that...is what nightclubs are for.

it pisses me off how it's okay for gas stations to charge 10 cents more per gallon if you use a credit card.
No other business does that. I know there may be a fee if you use credit for a very low purchase, but altogether changing the price because you use a card?...fuck you. I think therewastalk of some businesses doing that in my area, but that whole concept got quickly shot down...
Because we all rely heavily on gas-driven transportation, this is particularly frustrating because we use so much of it...and chances are unless you're a stripper, drug dealer, or daddy warbucks, you don't have wads of cash rammed in your pockets.
So the point remains...why the hell do people seem okay with gas stations being allowed to increase the price knowing that most people would probably have no other option?

I might be wrong, but I thought it was somewhat common for places to charge less if you pay in cash. Maybe not chains/franchises, but don't a lot of mom and pop places offer cash discounts because it helps them avoid the credit card processing fees?
It is, and for some major gas chains it is also like this (Mobil being one, at least all of them in my area offer a discount for using cash.)
The big chains just charge everyone the same, so cash customers end up getting the shaft there because they're paying for credit processing despite using cash. I only use cash in my personal life, and try to use it more often than not in my business. Banks can shove it.
