He was an interesting man. He was a titan in the music industry.

  • Neighbors with Picasso: Jones was a neighbor of Pablo Picasso in Paris in the late 1950s.

  • "We Are the World": Jones produced the all-star recording of "We Are the World" in 1985.

  • Michael Jackson: Jones collaborated with Michael Jackson on the albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad.

  • "Ironside" theme: Jones' theme from the hit TV series Ironside was the first synthesizer-based pop theme song.

  • "Back on the Block": Jones' 1989 album Back on the Block fused be bop and hip hop musical traditions.

  • Awards: Jones has won 28 Grammys, including a Grammy Legend Award, and has been nominated for 80 Grammys. He has also won an Emmy and has been nominated for four Emmys.

I told the story in another thread, my best friend is a musician and we would go into the city and he would rehearse in the studio with his band at various locations. One was across the street from Central Park. We got there at 1130 pm and still had to wait because the lead singer of Wanted Dead Or Alive was taking his time. So we waited at our cars and we're goofing around and laughing at stuff (like being bumped by the "spin you round like a record, baby" guy). Suddenly this older lady walking her dog approached and informed us that this was a quiet neighborhood and we needed to keep it down. That lady was Terri Garr and nobody recognized her, but me. She really wasn't a big celeb, but her movies were memorable. She was also on TOS Star Trek.

Terri Garr was pretty big back in her day at least. I have a lot of fun memories of watching things like Mr. Mom as a kid, Young Frankenstein, etc.

She was a late 70s pamela anderson. Everyone wanted to bang her. Probably a lot of harvey weinstein types did.

Yeah but she faded hard when Suzanne Sommers, Heather Lockear, Heather Thomas, hit the streets. By the mid 80s she was just another washed up milf.
A MILF is a MILF. Just because newer models are pushed out doesn't make the old ones stop existing.

As a 70s kid she was just a wholesome mom figure to me. Never really acheived MILF status until old me saw some of the nice pics of her dolled up. I do have new appreciation for how hot women were in the 70s and 80s after being force fed ugly tats, clownish asses, and obese women the last decade. Watch Cheers sometime, every episode inserts some random smoking hot 80s chick in it for Sam to hit on. We've lost so much.
