The only thing missing is The Wizard 2 and a Power Glove.

In an alternative reality somewhere, The Wizard 2 started in theaters around Halloween, the Wii U debuted for the holidays with Mario World 3D, and people fought for Nintendo on store shelves.

It's easier this way, though.

I'm such a Nintendo fanboy. Wii U is the only console that interests me. Hopefully the price drops after Christmas.

I actually broke down and picked one up today. Got the Windwaker bundle for $299 (a game and the console for $299 is almost like a price drop) and the new Mario game because nostalgia said to. Very cool so far but the goddamn thing keeps dropping off the internet. Connects fine then freaks out when i try to connect to the eStore. As far as impulse buys go, Im satisfied so far. Between this thing and my PS4 I should be thoroughly entertained through the holidays.

Slickdeals is talking about a Fred Meyer Thanksgiving day sale on the Wind Waker bundle for $250. Never heard of Fred Meyer stores though. Other than that I think Walmart has the best bundle deal, but that's available now. And I think Gamestop is supposed to have Rayman legends on sale for like $25.

Slickdeals Black Friday Adsis where koljec spotted the Fred Meyer thing (never heard of it either). You can see Black Friday stuff from most major chains and stores. I wouldnt expect to see much in the way of console deals but you should find some good stuff on games.

I bought the WiiU Mario/Luigi bundle for $299 and i think it's totally worth it.
Also did the buy 2 get 1 free games back when target was doing it and picked up Pikman3, Rayman Legends, and Zelda Windwalke HD (never played that one).
Will be picking up the new 3D worlds as well for my Son for his Birthday.
Now, none of this is opened yet as these are holiday gifts for the kiddos, but i'll be playing too

So now i'm set, PS3, PS4, WiiU... no thought in my head to buy the Xbone as i still do not see the point of getting it.

if you wanna buy a wiiU for xmas and save some bucks, heres the best way

- on black friday ebay will sell $200 of Target GCs for $180 ($90 each), maybe combine with a paypal coupon you got emailed
- on black friday if you buy $75 of anything at Target or Target Online you will get a 20% off coupon good Dec 1 - 7th. If you have kids or wife they probably will easily want $75 of clothes and shit from target.

so, $241 + the $75 you spent to save the 20% = $316
so almost the same price but at least you get some clothes out of it i guess. I'd rather just spend the $299 and be done.

I look at it as my wife is going to buy shit for herself for $75. Then I can get a great discount on a Wii U after the fact. It's a good deal, IMHO.

It's probably gonna be a YMMV thing. The 20% coupon says no video games and specifically excludes xbones/ps4s. Doesn't say no Wii U's but I could easily see them saying no over the video game thing.

I bought a Wii U Basic set on launch day and ended up selling it because I wasn't using it. I bought a PS4 and picked up the Wii U Wind Waker bundle and Super Mario 3D World at K Mart the system is on sale for $289 + $60 for Mario. I figure I'll use the Wii U for Nintendo exclusives and the PS4 and PC for everything else. I never played Wind Waker so hopefully it's good. I also have Skyward Sword that I never played. For registering the system on Nintendo.com you will have enough points to buy the original Metroid or Link to the Past which is 2 of my favorites.

One question I have is when I had my original Wii U I downloaded NSMBU off the e-store. I wonder if there is anyway I can get that back on this new system.

Nope, the games are sadly tied to the console right now. They are slowly moving everything to a single account you use for digital purchases and I assume they will make games tied to that account eventually.
